  • Join us for a video guide to one of the Peak District National Park's most iconic walks.
This route starts from the large parking area at Upper Burbage Bridge, then passes the Cowper Stone before reaching the south-eastern tip of Stanage Edge. From there you'll walk beneath its famous gritstone crags, through Stanage Plantation all the way to the Edge's most northerly point at Stanage End.
From there it's a glorious walk along the top of Stanage Edge, taking in the 458m trig point at High Neb and passing Robin Hood's Cave, before arriving back at your start point.
This walk showcases all of the unique history and geology of Stanage Edge in a fascinating walk that's suitable for all ages and abilities. It should only take you a few hours but will be one of the most rewarding days you could spend in the Peak District, Britain's oldest National Park.
