- This is my amateur shot video from the RIAT Grandstand at the Fairford airshow in July 1989.
This was an amazing year at this show, and its reflected in this video and the airshow video of the 22nd July which will follow this video.
The theme of this years show was 'Sea Search'
Some highlights here are -
- The USAF demo starting at 05:30 min (that B1 fast pass !)
- SR-71 flypasts and landing at 21:00 min
- Victor low flypast at 28:50 min
So many others to mention, but best to scroll through the video, theres a load of aircraft that you dont see around anymore.

A wonderful point in time when you'd get everything in the air up to 4th gen planes. Too many have been decommissioned or grounded because of regs now.
I literally hate multi role ha ha, just looks at the sheer amount of different planes in this clip, amazing, I wish I was born earlier, this one air show would probably be better than all the air shows I have ever seen in the uk put together ha ha!
