idk how u came back in that 2nd game after being 0/2 and down in cs. also, surviving the kaisa-thresh dive was so clean like damn i 100% wouldve died there. i would try to kill the thresh but i guess its better to focus the adc when getting 2v1 dived cause the tank will fuck off and the adc will take at least 2 full-power turret shots. learning a lot from your gameplay

Also i really really like yuumi as a champion now. She seems to have an extremely high skill ceiling. His Yuumi and my Yuumi look completely different, and it's a joy to watch. The same with your lucian - that last play was just next level insane

She really does. Dismounting to block skill shot and get her passive off, jumping from person to person, etc. In my elo, the yuumi just stays attached and never leaves their adc's body.
She's a really cool champ imo, and seeing how well the pros do with her, even though she has a low winrate in low elo shows how important it is to play her well for her to be good.

I do like him trying out triforce somewhere in there. The attack speed makes it feel a lot better than black cleaver. Lucian with a ton of attack speed and 40% cdr can combo so fast.
Makes me really wish q cast time scaled with attack speed. The fact it scales with levels feels so bad as an adc. I have so much more fun playing him in a solo lane currently.
Blackcleaver has good Synergy with his Ult.
Tri force passive is wasted on lucian since he can't proc it ss often.
@@cluelessgamer4318 if you're going bork first then I hard agree with you. tri force is a waste of time. the list of benefits of black cleaver over triforce is too much to name.
HOWEVER, if you're going straight crit, so much more of your damage comes from auto attacks compared to abilities proportionally.
going essence reaver first (something that I feel makes a lot of sense when you have a pocket healer as a support) into a zeal item make so much of your damage come from autos, the attack speed from tri force becomes very valuable.
I still want 40% cdr by 3rd item. you typically want 40% cdr by level 13 cuz then you'll have maxed e and you can start doing the optimal lucian combos and unless you get super duper fed off kills, you won't complete triforce 4th by level 13. so I'm pretty much looking at black cleaver, spear of shojin, or triforce to get after ER + Zeal.
I really think the attack speed is just the most valuable stat out of the 3 when you're going a crit build. this is ESPECIALLY true if you do what doublelift did and get infinity edge 3rd. I can't believe he got phage before stinger after that. if he ever got blue buff he could have been rocking 40% cdr but whatever.
to be clear, the attack speed for crit build isn't just about more auto attacks=more crits. It also speeds up the combo speed significantly allowing for some really difficult to react to burst and giving you better kiting options.
having 40% cdr and so much attack speed, if someone jumps on me, I have the time to w and begin an auto before dashing
if I have less attack speed, the combo is slower and maybe I just need to e before trying to combo into it when someone jumps on me.
the difference is crazy. if you have to start with a dash, then you have to auto w auto before you can dash again, during which the diver has likely tagged you with cc and is mauling you.
if, instead, you have time to w and begin an auto in reaction to them diving you, then when you dash you only have to auto and you have dash up again. if you need distance fast the whole combo of w auto e auto e leaves you with huge distance and the movespeed from your w passive. or, if you have the luxury, you could w auto e auto q auto e auto and still be sitting on a dash having already dashed twice and done plenty of damage besides.
but if you try to do that without as much attack speeds, its all slower and I've found it often makes the difference when a fed blue kayne is running at you at the speed of sound that without the extra attack speed you will get hit just as your start your dash instead of dodging the skill shots and maintaining distance.
also, its worth noting that even if you do choose to start with dash, perhaps to follow up on a pick, then being locked in the e auto q auto is so slow and leaves you exposed without a dash for so long. attack speed speeds up that process and reduces the window you are vulnerable without a dash.
over all, I actually think essence reaver, rapid fire, then triforce is the way to go now on lucian when you have a pocket healer support.
if you got a different type of support though, I'd still go bork into the old stuff. I still love bork->bc->spear. probably not optimal, but its so fun.

What build do yoyu go Doublelift? I notice you dont go BoRK and Black Cleaver which is alright to chunk down tanks but doesn't scale well against ADCs that build damage, crit and lifesteal =[ tough to stay relevant in game past 30 mins when going this build too - give us an alternative option that works if you know one

been trying out this new build and its insane. you definitely need a pocket healer to make it work, but if you can get these 4 items (plus boots) you actually become a 1v9 status...like I actually feel like I scale competitively with champs like jinx and cait now.
personally i would rather have the mobility boost from triforce 3rd item before IE, even though IE definitely is more damage. If I'm behind then I'll do IE 3rd, but if I'm ahead, I want tri 3rd to really be able to force situations.
its not just 40% cdr giving you optimal dash reset combos. the attack speed from tri force actually shortens the time you have to spend locked in auto animation and it really lets you sneak in combos and be less punishable for taking dash first combos to follow up on stuff.
I noticed you got triforce. Is it still viable for Lucian? What's the benefit?

This build is really dependent on having a pocket healer. Yuumi in particular is a very common combo in lcs. For this reason i dont think he would go merc scim. Yuumi can get mikails for him and has the heals so he doesnt need lifesteal or cleanse. I think it would be armor pen if he needed it. Or GA if he didnt need armor pen. Or if he was really feeling confident another zeal item, probably pd to not be too cocky.
I halfway wonder if last item being a second IE wouldnt actually be max dps vs targets without armor haha, but i dont think DL would do that.

Jakub Babula I play a lot of Lucian (Of course I’m not as good) but I felt like I stayed relevant through each phase of the game & with crit buffs, it seems to be the better option to go. BORK doesn’t compliment the crit build and prolongs a power spike for later phases of the game. Rushing the crit build let’s me carry games easier. Also, ER gives 20% CDR & more AD which is always nice lol

Rémy Boivin You have a point many champions have received nerfs in previouspatches and are still fun to play. However, ALL OF THOSE CHAMPIONS HAVE RECEIVED BUFFS IN RECENT PATCHES AS WELL. Let’s not be delusional , You find me a patch where Lucian was buffed, other than the patch where his E cd was reduced from 15 secs to 12 secs at lower levels and we can discuss more from there.
