Seeing the Fedders and the Lakewood in the window on the outside reminds me of a house up the street from me that had a 12,000 btu Kelvinator in the window and on cool days it had a Lakewood p223 3rd gen in the window next to it exactly like your set up just reverse the two. Even funnier is that I now own that exact airconditioner from that house. I found it on the curb out front of that house in 2019 and at that point I hadn’t seen it installed since 2012 and thought it was tossed out and long gone when the new people moved in.
The shot with the Lakewood and the Fedders in the window gave me some childhood nostalgia. I remember seeing that kinda stuff all the time growing up. Oh and that Lakewoods motor hum was childhood too. I remember my grandpa had a 3rd gen Lakewood kinda like that. And every time we would visit him I remember that motor hum from that fan. I'd always mess with that fan every time I'd go over there. Anyway. Great video man!
I too remember seeing the Lakewood 3rd generations in windows all the time when I was younger. I do remember the Fedders units as well, though I didn't pay much attention to air conditioners at the time. I still see a good number of these Fedders around here, but the Lakewoods have pretty much gone extinct.
@JordanU there's not too many vintage a/C units still in service where I live, sadly. I still see the occasional one here and there, but not like I did when I was younger. I rarely see any vintage fans in Windows anymore. It's all mostly been replaced by modern Lasko box fans.
