Ive learned, to use the fans facing OUTWARD on the open window. otherwise your just blowing the warm air INTO your house. If the fan doesnt cover your whole window, use a cardboard piece to cover the screen part. Try it, and see if it works for you, Ive been doin it that way for years

Good job on the install of this conditioner. Also, good observation on the level of the unit. Too many people just plop the thing in without paying mind to the drain hole and consider the flow of the condensation. Granted, a lot of these newer units don't have a drain hole but in this case, it's good since it has a drain hole.

All those dinosaurs need a lil oil in the bearings and a cleaning periodically and those things will last for decades they don’t make em like they used to anymore witch is sad that everything now is made in china

Really good to see a conventionally built unit with metal blades and US built compressor. I hope it works well for you.

the compressor is vibrating, 1st must do a deep checkup of the machine, get rusted parts replaced, if gas required refill, the pump has oil inside if required get it serviced, get hvac rubber pads for outside vibration fix, for inside attach a sound muffle pad around the pump. must be rotary compressor. hvac units lasts around 10 year. newer units are more energy efficient.

Picked up some Philips ultra definition 60w (2700K, uses 8W, 800 lumens) bulbs just like this in, that look very similar to this model (most likely the newer model of these). 8 of 12 of the bulbs failed within less than a year. Most of them had one of the 2 led strips burn out, causing the light to dim, run a lower color temp, and flicker. Not used in an enclosed fixture and no dimmer used. Any experience with these?

I absolutely agree. I HATE having to see through them every night. It's like starring into the sun with these harsh blueish white color... They are even worse on the Highway/Interstate. As a kid i grew up with 99% HPS Streetlights but luckily where I live, there are still several HPS Streetlights still kicking.
