    Nice and detailed Training Session with a robot.
    I see you use a lot of regular excercises with the ball going always to the same spot thou and i wonder why u dont use any random ones?
    Personally i train daily with the Robo Pong 3050xl and i use only a few regular and then a lot unregular excercises (for exmaple FH topspin anywhere in the FH area or topspins all over the table).
    I guess its a problem thou with the Amicus since the head doesnt move towards the shooting direction so u cannot see where the next shots will go to? Also u dont have the green/red lamps showing the type/amount of spin like the Robo Pong 3050 xl shows.
    Coz what i enjoy the most is an complex excercise that simulates a full rally, starting with a random serve, a backspin ball to loop and then going to faster topspin counters all randomized all over the table. I spend most of the time doing this on repeat and i think its better than doing only 10min doing one thing on the same spot only, what do u think?

      Yes, you are absolutely right about all of the above.
      The problem is that if random spin is applied, it is difficult to determine from the spin of the ball how much spin it has, and as for the movement of the robot's head... the head does not move, but only two metal plates that are not always easy to see in which direction they are facing.
      At the time of recording this video (4 years ago), there was no option in the application to determine the sector where the ball will land, but only an exact location. With the update came that possibility and now I use that option.

    Hi, excellent video! I have the amicus and there's an issue I can't fix and I I'm struggling to find information about it so I'll try to ask you, maybe you can help me. The problem is that the amicus... just doesn't hit hard enough! I mean, it does if you setup no spin, but as you increase the spin, the ball loses power. That makes it rather impossible to have a natural topspin shot, because it can be either too slow slow or too flat. In other words you cannot have high spin and speed at the same time. I was wondering if my device is not working correctly or if that's just it. Did you notice the same behaviour? Thanks a million for your help.

      Hi. I've been using Amicus for 5 years and over time the screws that hold the three wheels on the robot's head that are in charge of ejecting the ball can loosen from the vibrations. So you only need to tighten those screws a little from time to time.
      Another possible problem, which happened to me too, is that with use those wheels wear out from the balls. So I moved each of those three wheels a millimeter closer to the center, so I reduced the opening where the ball comes out and that way you get additional speed and spin.

    Beautiful play. Did you upgrade your amicus or purchase a prime. Are those drills in the programming sequences in the tablet or did you make them?

      @DarioGrd  Před 4 lety +1

      Thnx. No, I bought the prime right away. All these drills I entered myself. Pre-programmed drills I use very rare.

    What is the ball frequency for these drills ?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  Před 2 lety +1

      each drill has a different ball frequency. from 40 to 70 ball/min

      @@DarioGrd thanks for the reply..do you think this Ball speed is enough to practice with...I have a different robot but with max frequency at 75balls /min

      @DarioGrd  Před 2 lety +1

      @@astonishingashfaq I want each drill to be as realistic as possible to the real game, so I adjust the speed accordingly. Amicus has a maximum of 120 balls per minute, but I don't see in which case I would need that speed. In my opinion, 75 is quite enough

    How do I download drills for Amicus prime? Can you share yours?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  Před 3 lety

      The application saves the exercises in a file with the extension "amicusgame", and it is actually a file that contains text formatted as JSON in which is the configuration of all selected exercises. For those who want my exercises I can share, but you have to leave me some contact (email) so I can send the file, which you then just open with the Amicus app and the app will ask you if you want to import the exercises.
