One of the best things about VSL's is, like you said, it gives your prospects an opportunity to go on a journey with you. Whereas a sales page means an opportunity to scroll and miss the important parts. Plus, VSL's give you that amazing opportunity to throw in more CTA's and summaries to really let the messages sink in ... and make more sales! (and hey it gives you a more personal connection with your prospect. On a sales page people could care less that I almost died, but in a VSL they get to hear my voice, sometimes see my face, etc. They get to feel what it was like to go through something that scary and then to want to take action on whatever it is I'm talking about because they now respect why I'm sharing it.) I am a newbie copywriter with only 14 months of experience. Recently got a client asking me for a VSL. I have never written one before but still I said yes, thinking it will be just like a sales letter (which clearly is not the case). No, I wasn't trying to scam him, I believe i can help him and I have written different types of scripts before. I just took this as the opportunity to learn. And i am glad I did. Because it lead me to finding you. I am excited for this challenge and will definitely apply what I learn from him.

I have a company that sells broadband internet plans, do you think that for this market a VSL would sell better than a landins page with all the plans we sell? Thank you Sanni. Well, the reasons are pretty simple. First, I'm wanting to build a legion of copywriters, so I'm giving away a ton of info to inspire trust. Second is that I love to teach. It's fun. Third, as I've always said, I want people to say, "If he gives this away for free, imagine his paid content." It's the most honest way to earn customers and fans.
Jon Benson, VSL is better than Landing Page in every situation? My brother is Advocate, and my friend is producing a Illustration Course, and I'm not sure if it can work to them.
