- In this video I talk about the Egyptian Arabic language cartoon "Wuz Wuz & Bott Bott (وظوظ و بطبط)" that has been referred to as a blatant rip-off of the American Christian cartoon VeggieTales.
Special thanks to Trevor from @mediamementosofficial and Avery from @AveryTalksAboutStuff for taking part in this video.

I'm new here and stumbling across this is the reason why
7:18 Same vocal energy as Clarinet SpongeBob
I just randomly stumbled across this video on how this is a VeggieTales Rip-Off
Really thorough analysis and astonishing production and investigative skills! Definitely one of my top favorite episodes on the channel so far.
As an Arab filmmaker myself, and from my experience of working with local productions and all the funding and technical limitations within the region, I personally can't help but feel that the crew of the show clearly tried their best with what they have, which I honestly still think it's cute and quirky (kinda like an ugly pug)
I sincerely don't think it's fair to compare a rip-off to the original, it's a rip-off, it's impossible to exceed the show's qulaity or structure and improve on it. If it did, it would've been called a "successor."
So yeah, I personally would've added a disclaimer to say that I wouldn't go far to completely shit over the show without AT LEAST explaining that the production is clearly limited in budget and scope, and that this isn't an attack on the crew. Especially Mouwad, who is a clearly talented voice actor, at least from his performance of Timmy Turner in the Egyptian dub. I do wonder what the crew/company is working on these days, did they improve?
Overall this was a really good watch. Would love to see a video on حديث الخضروات though. I really wanna hear the "wE wErE iN sLaAaAvErYyY" or "W E E D E A T E R" lines in Arabic
آكل الحشيش 🤖

Bob: Hey! I don't care how bad he is! We don't throw tomatoes in this town!
Yet there's also a Bob the Tomato look alike LOL
I have barely heard of this ripoff of VeggieTales until I see this underrated masterpiece of a video.
Edit: IDK why the song at 8:41 is stuck in my head.........
lmao the intercuts with the kid complaints XD
5:26, I never heard of NBC3 and Space-Toons before
Seriously, most Cartoons can be wild and nutty........either a Good Way or a Bad Way
Hi, I grew up with both veggietales and wuzwuz and butbut. Yes, the style is very similar. I studied a bit of animation and I feel the reason they went for the no-limbs style is because it makes it so much easier to animate and saves time. I don't imagine they had much money to cover higher quality. However, the delivery is relatable to its audience (eliminates directly speaking about religion because they're appealing to audiences of two religions), direct cultural references (i.e the guys sitting at a men's cafe listening to classical Egyptian music). Most importantly, the moral of the story was the whole point of the show. My personal favourite was the one with the pirates - the point being made here is very Christian (no greater love than laying down one's life for his friend John 15:13) and the song at the end speaks about God, although it never says the word, it is obvious. The show does all this without saying "hey, this is a Christian show" - no, this is a show for all Egyptian children about good morals. The only other Egyptian show that I know of that existed at the time was Bakkar, which I disliked because it was the kind of show that treats their audience like they're stupid or living in a different planet (a fatherless son goes to a public school with super nice teachers and computers? Yeah right!). Wuzwuz and Butbut was not like that, it doesn't place itself in the real world for this reason, imaginative, relatable, and has great points to be made, and for that I respect it.
I didn't notice there was a Veggie Tales rip off in Egypt
This video popped up in my recommendations, and @AveryTalksAboutStuff makes a cameo? I thought I recognized her voice!!!
Edit: 9:00 - Is that Microsoft Office clip art? Man, that's really low animation standards, even for a mockbuster-style rip-off of VeggieTales!
Can you translate the theme song?
NO! NOOO! NO! That is just!
Phill and Mike did voiced their Bob and Larry in VeggieTales in the house and the city instead of being fired since they are the creators of VeggieTales
Somehow I doubt Phil Vischer approved this cartoon.
I don't think he even approves of the current state of VeggieTales 😅
What about the Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi Mouths in scratch???
Great video! This reminds me of the Canadian knock off called God Rocks. I actually made a video about it on my channel
The tomato guy looks like bob the tomato and mr lunt had a kid
If there is one thing the show is good at, it’s replicating the VeggieTales art style.
Make a video of the toontastic show please?
Amazing insight my guy
Every masterpiece has its cheap copy
I love wuz wuz and bott bott!! Goodness! I love it!!
How could you copy this video topic from the amazing youtuber "NathanThePlotagonGuy2011"? In what world did you imagine that you could create a video that even comes close to the divine experience that is "NC Rants S1 E3"?? A valid attempt, but alas, a futile one. 😔

I love Aim By Frame, but I'm now absolutely repulsed by this disgraceful act of copyright infringement. Sami, how dare you rant about a rip-off by ripping-off a video ranting about rip-off? We demand an apology 😠😠
I have brought shame upon myself for even attempting to compete with our king NathanThePlotagonGuy2011.
All I can do now is pray for his forgiveness.😞
I am russian, MY MOTHER SPEAKS ARABICTUN
LMAO I bet the show teaches Muslim lessoens
Still better than Dorbees
