Andrew was TS a day before it hit. It grew into a buzz zaw in 24 hours. I had the unfortunate luck to experience Andrew when I lived in South Fla. I was huddled in the bathroom with a mattress over my kids bodies in the tub. Brian Norcross was my lifeline on the NOAA radio I had. It looked like a nuclear bomb went off in the morning. Trees were de barked and houses demolished. Please - those in the impact path - take heed and evacuate if advised. Lives can be saved by good preparation

@@chrisclausen1796 You haven't experienced a Cat 3 or stronger storm here yet friend. This Cat I storm, even if it briefly makes it to Cat 2 right at landfall, is nothing! Until you have tried living in the Houston area for a few weeks without power in 100+ degree summertime sunny days, you don't know what you are in for! The real danger this storm poses is the loss of power and the fast return of summertime temps and humidity beyond anything you have ever experienced... people will likely die of heat strokes later this week, not from their homes blowing away or flooding during the storm. Most portable generators will not pull a central AC system, and those that will pull a central AC system will go thru fuel at a ferocious rate of speed! Gas stations will not have power to pump gas from their tanks, so good luck finding more fuel after the storm has passed and the power remains out. Do you have a hose to syphon gas from your car or truck to feed your generator? Do you even know how to syphon fuel with a hose? These are the things you aught to be thinking about... if you have a portable generator and it runs on gas, then you have to have enough gas to run it for a few days straight at least. And if your generator can't pull your home's central ac, then you need a smaller window ac unit that it can pull just to keep a bedroom cooled down to sleep in because trust me you cannot sleep or stay for long in a home without power when it's reached 97 degrees in your hallway and you have no way to cool even a single room in the house! Just saying, from experience.

Hi there. Reed Timmer is the master! I have been following Beryl on AccuWeather and watching it on its radar. When using the time bar if you push it right which show the future you can see Beryl intensify. The center starts to get a clear eye. Another comment on this video said don't take this storm lightly. I agree with them wholeheartedly. This storm is a nasty one. Do not become complacent or blow it off because it will bite you in the but. Stay safe out there. Take care and God bless

It's like a little buzzsaw. Thanks Reed, I learned something about dry air. When it comes to dry air around tropical systems, it was like kryptonite for the system and would downgrade it. I wouldn't have guessed it would actually work with the system. Is this like a situational type thing because of the storms location near the coast that is causing the dry air to work with the system? It's also a little crazy given its close location, the amount of uncertainty as to where landfall will be.

When this comes through Arkansas, will we get wind with the rain? I’m concerned about lots of water and wind.
I appreciate all your hard work.
