I would have built half the size of a house and used the rest of the lot for a nice yard with grass and garden. This big house actually lacks space. A space to breath and live. It's just crammed into a narrow lot between a highway above its roof and a steep hill beneath it. I'd feel confined in a space like that, no matter how spacious my master is. But hey, that's just me.
serious question: are there subsidence issues in the canyons, or have the rich folks sorted it?...………...

BEAUTIFUL clean lines all throughout the house, what a shame it's on such a cramped lot with such great views of the POWER LINES right out back...and yes definitely needs a LOT more greenery to shield from prying eyes.

I would love to know why the house was not sited closer to the street (higher on the lot) so that the views clear the power lines more. It looks from the photos that it could have been higher on the lot. Zoning? Setback requirements? Site issue?

i like neat and clean structures when it comes to a house, like very square-ish but at the same time, not too square you know what i've meant? this house is TOO square too boxy imo. it could have been designed and built better than just straight up all lines and squares. i saw this house in producer mike's channel and the hallway underneath is hollow.

This house does the 2 things designers who dabble in modern design screw up:
1) The exterior looks like an industrial park. with a pool.
2) The interior looks like a hotel lobby.
It's sterile, cold, and impersonal. Decorating can do a little but the structure itself is underwhelming. Just big boxes with expensive stonework.
I agree and I loathe this uniformed all white setting that modern designers go for it's very clinical and harsh especially if there isn't softer colours to off balance it.
For the prices asked I would expect a lot more creativity from the designers all that being said who am I to talk my place is the size of a garden shed!
R Sosa Right! But it's all about mediocrity in form while placating bourgeoise, nuveau riche into thinking they're special. One reason those locations became desirable was because someone who was rich hired an architect to design a house for them. Now it's architecture firms cranking out neutrsl-themed boxes with sliding doors, infinity pools, and wine racks.
But I like contemporary design. It's just many of these homes are the same.

There is actually a bar on the inside on the pool level in the west wing, you just can't see it because the glass walls are closed.

I like this but 1 reason I wouldn’t buy it it doesn’t even have a yard like lay a nice flat yard down someone is gonna move into the house and probably have a pet dog and they need to go to the bathroom somewhere and I wouldn’t want it to be in my house or on my concrete
