Bluffin reading angry comments to himself and his family every night like a bedtime story
The kid loves them
The accuracy of HLL maps is just insane. I was in Carentan two years ago, and my family wondered why I knew the way to the church or channel without looking at a map. Same with SMDM or SME
Exactly!
My favorite part is "I want to feel cool and not be reminded of my stupid life choices"
7:05 I'm glad you kept this one, made my day!
I spent a long time cutting and re adding jabs and jokes.
A couple years ago, I wanted to play Post Scriptum, but being in console…that wasn’t an option, HLL was the only real WW2 milsim available to me, since I got it, and I haven’t looked back, and regardless how people feel about clans in HLL, they add a lot to game, in the console communities, there is a large competitive setting, which for me is great. 50 vs 50 clan battles are for those who want to see the best in HLL. HLL is also derpy and weird enough to have fun with a squad of 6. When you brought up the maps, that part was spot on, the maps were done super well. Just something with HLL that has something for everyone, that’s just me though. Great video all around bud
Cheers dude 👍
I played Post Scriptum near every day I could for years, ever since it was just a few months old, but when it died, I left, and bought Hell Let Loose. Then I had more fun then I ever had in PS. I am not going to lie, I’m never going back to Post Scriptum.
Thanks for sharing dude.
I played like 2500hrs on hell let loose, but now I play practically only squad 44(post scriptum) we've done practically the reverse choice 😂
Not enough time spent on the beautiful friendships we made on HLL,All jokes aside a wonderful trip with your opinions stated clearly ;)
I'll have to dedicate a video to us all being moose brains soon. Thank you
great video I thought about getting squad44 but now I'm glad I saved my money . I will stick to my medic class in HLL
I mean if its free and dirt cheap go for it just to sit in the firing range and listen to the guns
Best class in the game.
Not to mention competitive HLL where it turns a shooty-shoot capture zone game into a you go here and you do this chess game
Wehehehehelllll... great video. First off. The only thing I ever did in PS44 was the practice range and then I really didn't go any further. I wanted to, but I gave up much too quickly. I'm sticking with HLL. That's the game i like and enjoy.
HLL is great experience with the boys and playing a squad of friends and pals and gets even better when you're part of a community and engage in organized comp scrims. Playing it for straight four years and its full of epic moments, banter and fun. Game never fails to deliver guys. Made a lot friends all along the way and even we have our discord to play some other games together. Wish we had the gun sounds and phenomenal armour meta of the PS. Gotta admit its still unmatched and gotta say hats off the PS devs for such a solid work. In the end I play the game not to satisfy allmighty gods of milsim genre but fun, socializing with my friends and enjoy WW2 tacshooter at its peak immersion. And as long as its alive i'll keep playing HLL. Great take on both games from your experience and perspective McBluffin. Always been a pleasure to enjoy your content pal. Godspeed m8
Thanks dude I appreciate that
Absolutely 100% totally agree on everything apart from maybe the HLL audio! I love the fact that PS/SQ44 has more vehicles and things like but that hasn't made the game any better and isn't going to be a path that HLL is going to rush down. There are also some glaring issues with the lighting system in PS/SQ44 that bug me personally but it's the empty servers and miniscule player base speak volumes.
Exactly. I honestly wish it all thr best but I prefer hll and sq44 ain't offering much that I want
@@McBluffinGaming As for the lighting thing check the number of times in SQ44 where the sky is cloudy but the objects and buildings have sharp shadows, or no shadows, or where locations in shadows will be lit up. While it doesn't affect gameplay as such your brain is still processing it and mentally calling out the 'wrongness' of what it's seeing.
@ColinHartUK yeah I know what you mean.
Epic I haven’t played post scriptum (squad 44) because it’s not on console but I’m not sure I would’ve gotten it either way as most of what I hear is negative
Have you tried Forgotten hope 2? It's an old mod for bf2, the devs are constantly updating it and it's pretty fun.
I've been dying to try bf2 again but I don't own a copy and I don't trust the downloads.
Never played Squad 44 so I'm choosing HLL lol
HLL is amazing
Wise man
Pretty sure troops were trained to not rely on drinking from their canteens a good example was from band of brothers where in the beginning they do all the mile runs and have to empty their canteens at the end to show they didnt drink and if they did they were yelled at and got in trouble
Hell let loose fails to succeed in its goal of incentivizing team-play. Squad and Squad 44 nearly force you to use a microphone and work with others to succeed. I have played around 350 hours of HLL dwarfing my 5 hours in squad 44, but find S44 to be the better game in all my personal categories.
Times drank from canteen: 10
Replace water with booze, Game fixed, mission accomplished 10/10
@@ElmoGoneWild yes and yes
@@ElmoGoneWild Isn't that how you are supposed to enjoy Post Scrotum?
About the game meta, its spawn hunting really. You have FOBS (Garrison), Rallys (OP) and Mobile Spawn Points (MSP). The only game mode the servers are running is offensive, and the whole match is about which team finds the other team's spawn points first so they can capture or defend that point.. Or this was the case to the latest update (Greyhound) where they tried to change this by making it harder for the attacking team to build fobs (garry) on the battlefield and behind enemy lines, and they have completely removed Mobile Spawn points. The hardcore fans were not satisfied with the changes, cause it was a CHANGE IN THEIR BELOVED GAME for Christ's sake... In the latest update, they have tuned this system bringing back the MSPs and tweaking the Red Zone (The zone where you can not build. Previously you could but now you can't...)
I gotta be honest here: I've never seen your channel, never watched many milsim videos unless it's shroud or summit, but I've recently been doing a lot of searching for how to fix voip in hll. Playing on the x and NOT being able to hear your team is aggravating to the point I've uninstalled the game. It's just not worth the experience to run around in silence while my team is talking about which state has better mass shooters, or what direction the commy fuck with a small pp and a hot sister shot at us from. If you have ANY recommendations on fixing voip I'm all ears! Nice video BTW, I'll follow
I can't help if it's X box but I know its an issue that is being looked at. Thanks for the follow my dude
i have played hell let loose for 2 years now and i stopped for a moment but i joined the game again 2 months ago and its still THE BEST shooter ever made !
HLL ALL THE WAY ❤
Lets go baby!
Rank 253 and climbing ! 👌
@@matthewayrton2786 holy shit my dude. When you start playing. I'm 147...ish.
@McBluffinGaming not long after it came out on console! It's like an onion, just as you think you figured it all out, there's another layer, another totally different way or part to play ... 👌
@@matthewayrton2786 amen 🙏
You sound like taika watiti its awesome
Sounds like some strange fetish
I will preface that I have never played PS, so my experience is not comparing it to PS, but just my experience with HLL.
HLL made me feel something I have never in any milsim or FPS game ever: it made me have fun as infantry. That might sound like I never have fun playing as a grunt in other games, but it always felt like I'd have a better time playing in a vehicle. My losses while in a tank in other games felt like close matches, while win made me feel like a steamroller. In HLL, as an AT, I get a feeling of a challenge when I see a tank, and taking it on myself, or coordinating with friendly ATs, tanks, or ammo-Supports, is a great time. The tanks aren't godly existences that only other tanks can destroy, but they're not your CoD/BF, FPS tanks that are practically destructible from any angle by some solo warrior with 6+ rockets in their reserves. They feel like a good enough threat if you're up against a good crew, and encourage the one's manning it to throw caution to the wind when playing aggressively. WWII is the era of combined-arms warfare, and HLL did it really well.
Last thing I'll mention is the increase in players on console, in part to the game featuring on Game Pass. While there have been a lot more souring-sods in matches because of it, I think it is a good way to bring in new players who may never have wanted to play this game until they got to try it here. Those toxic fools will eventually leave when Game Pass takes it off their list, but those who really want to have fun playing this game will likely buy it up on the Game Pass discount to keep enjoying it. Gatekeeping will ruin any game that's not a big title, and HLL is not a big title. Much as I hate a blueberry squad leader who doesn't know what "place OP" means, I would rather teach them how they can love the game then force out someone who may stick with the game long after I go.
I don't think this needs any mention, but thank you for the video, McBluffin. I think this is my first video I'm seeing from you, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. As a console main, with an old laptop as my only connection to Steam, I enjoyed, and am slightly saddened, by the reality of PS/S44. I had always heard through references from others how great PS is, and how it was a WWII game that was gone too soon, and this placed it on a podium of "games I wish I could play, without knowing much about them". When you informed me of the canteen, and its need to be consumed in order to replenish stamina, I realized that PS wouldn't be for me. People might think that's a bit harsh, but games are still meant to be fun for me. Being that harsh, in a game where you aren't expected to live one life through the whole match, is unnecessarily adding a mechanic like the canteen.
Mechanics based on your survival shouldn't be in games that expect you to die often. Save the hydration mechanic for DayZ or Arma, where each life lost isn't met with a redeploy, but a tower you built up and now it has fallen.
Well said. Cheers for checking me out dude. I'd say yeah if that puts you off then the rest will. The amazing parts of it don't outweigh it's negatives for me. I'm glad you enjoyed the video I did make a gameplay video of it so you can see where I'm coming from
I like the tank gameplay in 44 you get a hull mg as a own thing. Only thing i play that game for and the camera is ok.
Rarely touch tanking myself
They are great games, instead searching which one is better or worse.. why dont play both and have fun?
I did play both...and only had fun in one.
Hell Let Loose because the other one doesn't exist in my world and is unlikely ever to according to the internet.
Console?
@@McBluffinGaming Yessir sorry for my peasentness lol.
@skapunkno1 hahaha. No apology needed. I mean it might turn up one day if the game actually takes off.
RO1 (Darkest Hour), RO2/RS1 will still be superior - and HLL is their spiritual successor.
Easy Red 2 better
I have not played Squad 44. Mainly because I don't know anyone who plays it.
I have played HLL but it too casual.
What I like about S44 is that you can walk into every building. I think S44 has a lot of potential. And I hope it will get there at some point.
It's more casual than S44 and Squad for sure but it's not compared to most other shooters. Yeah you can go in every building but they are all barren.
Your opinion hurt me in my no-no spot.😢
I'm sorry, I'll kiss it better
I’ll take regular squad before I take either one of them. (Especially HLL just dog shit of a game. Good in concept/theory but poor in execution or practice) anyway in serious note go for Squad 44/Post Scriptum (sadly it’s barely alive right now)
Yeah because it sucks
I hate the PPSH in HLL its such a pea shooter
I dunno man, thing is kind of mental
