Dolphins, elephants and all the varieties of parrots are truly magical beings. I’d add octopus to this list but they live solitary lives and therefore although they are as intelligent as those others I’m not blown away by them as they aren’t communicative as much with us or others of their species. We still have so much to learn. The sweetness of that dolphin checking out the little girl is so special.
Whether in captivity or in the wild, dolphins will spontaneously interact with humans and this is exactly what's happening here. They connect on an ethereal level almost beyond human understanding. The innocence and purity of a small child is quite obvious to this dolphin so it paused to make that connection and it's an experience that child won't forget.
The dophin request its release, still the mother calls it silly. We got some flaws in iq-measurement, and need to take into account the love mother and child has. And maybe they even dont need to, because its a measurment about two different human capabilites, the love and the processing capabilities of the mind.
