That 2010 Monte Carlo was one of, if not the most dominant tournament a player has ever played. I remember Nadal winning a lot of 6-0s and 6-1s. Every match was so short
He lost 14 games in the whole tournament (5 matches)
Lies again? Greatest Of Them Is Real God Mode
2017 Wimbledon
@@vikram9855 nah doesnt come close Defo one of the most dominant tho, but Monte Carlo '10 was way more dominant
So in 2012, 25 years old, he won Monte Carlo for the 8th time. Mindblowing!
8 consecutive times
@@risingfromthedead he's the God of Clay for a reason!
Nadal on clay it's easily the highest level of tennis EVER!!!
I've rarely felt as bad for a player than Verdasco at 2010 Monte Carlo. He honestly played great and still got absolutely bulldozed. Love the point where he's thanking the heavens that he finally won one lol.
Amazing how in 2012 we were already talking about his supremacy, and "owning" tournaments, and 10 years after he is still winning and looking almost unbeatable.
And even with foot injury. A pure gladiator
Indeed❣️💪🤴🐐
He has been dominating on clay from 2005 until now. Almost 2 decades. Its insane.
He's still winning only because of the weak era.
@@masters.1000 Bruh he dominated in the strong era too
Dominated his two main rivals on this surface.
God Mode against the other 2 GOATs. It's just incredible how great he is. I wish he never retires
And this is only ATP footage. If they could use grand slam footage… oh man. RG 2020 against Djokovic, RG 2008 vs Federer
He's the real GOAT
@@SJ-di5zu 2008 RG was murder for Fed
In 2010 Monte Carlo Masters, Nadal lost only 14 games throughout the whole tournament.
@Lord Sauron 14 games in 6 matches, thats not a lot
Avg 2 games per match
14 games in 5 matches mean 3 games every match
@@onlysmmk oh woops my bad lmao
@Lord Sauron what?
That match against Verdasco was pure gem from Rafa. Verdasco’s play in that match was good enough to beat any player on tour except…
He always goes god mode lol
Not when facing Soderling in 2009
@@definitionsupervillain4583 Dude lost 3 times in 18 years and you still nitpick this hard? You’re a professional hater bro 😭
@@definitionsupervillain4583 he was hindered by a knee injury and then desteoyed the next year in the final
5 times, I’m pretty sure he’s always in God mode when he plays on clay
The dude won the French open at 36 with a dead leg, that should tell you enough.
Back in those days....he was dominant as hell on clay....no one had a fucking answer to his game.....and decade later with only 70% of his peak ability he is still beating down players....
I wish he never retires
That run and chase from Rafa at 11:21. I mean his pace at that time when he was a teenager and growing, he was lightening fast don't think anyone come close to him in this aspect. We see today a teenager Alcaraz chases almost every ball and has a great speed but compare it with this teenage Rafa in this video I don't think Alcaraz comes near Rafa. Are you agreed with me?
Totalmente de acuerdo, pero es que a Rafa no se le acercan ni fuera de su deporte imagínate dentro del mismo.
The thing is there may be a few players on the tour now that can get the ball but they'd be on full stretch and still struggling to get there, but Rafa here got to the ball with time to spare that's insane.
the most insane is the second lob is sending back, he literally only make a wrist movement because the ball is ahead of him... this is nuts, you need to have power, accuracy and everything. The guy is the goat of tennis
I think only Ferrer had that speed aside from Rafa.
@@user-ez9ng2rw9c no one in the tennis history till date had the footspeed, sprinting prowess and court coverage like Nadal on clay 2005-2013.
Nadal vs Novak in 2007. I was 15. Brings back lot of school memories.
Greatest passing shooter of all time
Nadal gonna win his 14th RG Title don't see anyone stopping him
I want him to win too , but in tennis you don't know what can happen, if zverev plays like played he can be a serious threat and for the finalist we don't know
Don’t jinx it bro please
Well said,he wins in those years when he looks vulnerable, this year he already beat two players who were supposed to beat him, barring injury,i dont see anyone beating him this year

2017 RG final vs Wawrinka is the best player I have ever watched playing tennis
That match wawrinka was tired from semi-final match against Murray
Nadal 2012 was unbeatable ever
Rafa had some pretty dominant tournaments at RG over the years. 2008 & 2017 stand out the most. In 2017 he dropped a total of 35 games in the entire tournament! That’s an average of 5 games per match! In 2008 he dropped 41 games and dished out a bagel to Fed in the Final.
Amazing. I wish I watched him sooner in his career.
Honored to bee alive, to witness and present for truly a humble PROFESSIONAL man. TENNIS world will never have another, let alone any other sport.
I'd have had 2008 French final, 2019 Rome final and 2020 French final in there.
2012 Monte Carlo win was the biggest in terms of value
The amazing thing is... Rafa is well past his best (especially on clay) but he's still winning Roland Garros! It's quite amazing watching back his peak days, he was literally unbeatable.
Apparently he is still unbeatable at the Roland Garros. He is not called the "God of Clay Court" just like that.
Rafael Nadal has the same amount of
Roland Garros singles titles as every other
active ATP and WTA player combined. Ok. What?
I guarantee 100% & confidence on Sunday Final 🇪🇸 GOATdal (Nadal) the Beast will lift up the trophy 👑 the 2022 French open champion for the record 15th time in history all the way and Rafa 22nd major champion is still coming soon in advance 💪!!! Mark my word and Vamos Rafa!!! Warriors and Cheers to a Spanish Bull!!! 🇪🇸🏆🐐
Yea just dude it will be his 14th title not 15th :)
@@soham9905 nah he will win two on Sunday jk
After watching this VDO, I fully agree with the word GOD mode ! Jesus
Those shorts were CRIMINAL
Guys you deserve around 10M subs! Soon 1M!!!! Cmon!
Thirteen minutes of reasons why Rafa is known as the "King of Clay"! 🎾🎾
Verdasco was on the verge of, "No mas."
I respect nole and federer but on clay rafa is miles ahead 🐐🐐🐐. How on earth he is so good on clay 😮😮😮😮😮. Also lets be honest no one hits the ball better than nadal
Hamburg 2008 contra novak fue uno de los mejores partidos que vi ese les falto
Fantastic player and a great talent !
You should add the 2022 rg final
On Clay, Rafa doesn’t know any other mode. He is the God of Clay.
3/4 pants nadal was fireeeeee🔥
Rafa’s speed and ability to generate spin has declined by far. He is still a monster on clay now but back then? Zeus.
Only his speed maybe. But his shot power and spin is more now. Compare wimby 2008 with 2019. Fed and Nadal were hitting cannon balls in 2019.
@@srinitaaigaura Nahh not really. Yes cannon balls but nowhere near their 2008 level
@@gotimlol5318 Much more power on the shots now. It helps with the agression. They have steadily added more weight to their rackets. Fed has changed to a much more powerful frame and in Wimbledon 2019 it allowed his backhand to fight Nadal. I was watching the old replays and even in 2006 Nadal was giving Federer's backhand serious trouble. Fed was just bunting them over the net often. Not now.
it took Djoker until 2011 to beat Rafa on clay.
MC 2010, lost only 14 games and won Tourney vs Verdasco.
What? Are you serious?? You kidding right?
@@roydondsa I kid u not. Go look it up. He had a bakery, serving bagels, breadsticks left n right. Good old days!
@@hyacinthusargus1513 One of the only times he skipped his home tournament in Barcelona because he wanted to pace himself better during the clay swing.
Only 5? 😎
He was fast
2008 Roland Garros final is the best performance on clay, against the G.O.A.T., only Nadal could do that.... nobody else could. He also won that one without dropping a single set.
God of Clay…
GOAT
This God mode lasted for more than a decade!
Nadal never gives up. The Spanish Bull. The King Of Clay.
Always hated that Djokovic's grin when being demolished. It felt always like discrediting and disrespectful

12:30 Gaudio bro you don't slice to Nadal's forehand on breakpoint on slow clay. Say goodbye :)
You cant teach Gaudio, who was one of the best clay players in the world at that point

what are you talking about? Gaudio started 3-0 against Nadal on clay, and the head to head ended 3-3

Verdasco did very little wrong in 2010 Monte Carlo. Just came up against Nadal at his absolute best.
i just needed to reply this point many times to understand what happened here 4:00
And Roland garros not included in this otherwise there will be a movie on how many times he went god mode there .. 😂😊

Absolutely ridiculous from rafa
Sad truth: ATP only rememberes Nadal's greatness when he beats Djokovic, which ATP can't swallow.
Sad truth: No extended highlights of any ATP match lost by Djokovic, eg. vs Alcarz Madrid, Berdych Rome13, Verdasco Rome10.
Sad truth: ATP will skip Novak losing to Tsitsipas at Toronto 18, Medvedev 19@ Cincinatti, RBA at Shanghai 16, Querrey Paris 12, and many more.
Sad truth: ATP will keep posting Nadal losses, whether he is playing or not, no matter what event it is.

2010 Rafa made Clay Slam (Monte Carlo Masters, Madrid Masters, Roma Masters, RG).
Huge achievement no doubt.
But if we would talk about maxing it, then Clay Slam could be:
winning:

Córdoba 250
Buenos Aires 250
Rio de Janeiro 500
Marrakesh 250
Monte Carlo Masters
Barcelona 500
Madrid Masters
Roma Masters
RG
Gstaad 250
Hamburg 500
Kitzbühel 250
(12 titles! 7 750 points! from this events!)
(Nole was ATP No. 1 player in 2023 April 24 having 7 135 points, so You could be No. 1 player by participating only on clay, no Australia in January, no play after Kitzbühel...!!!!!)
(with added luck (rivals walkovers and injuries after beginning of matches) You could win also
Chile 250
Geneva 250)
next level would be winning them without losing a set,
then
next level:
without tiebreaks played
next:
sets maximum 6-4
next:
sets maximum 6-3
next:
sets maximum 6-2
next:
sets maximum 6-1
next:

next:
all sets - golden sets

improving time of victories.
Novak had won Wimbledon 13 times
Making him the grass expert
How in heck would that make him the greatest of all time, being a master of one surface. When mens tennis consists of 4 different surfaces.
Greatest of Clay no doubt
GOAT stats don't bear that out
Facts get in the way of feelings
Nadal and Djokovic have the same number of GS off their preferred surface at 8 but go on
@@marcusjenkins5371 again Novak has not one lop sided number of tournaments as Nadal has on just one surface. Try again
@@marcusjenkins5371 amazing how people let their admiration of a player to blind them to reality
Had the other two been that good they'd master one surface. Guess what! No one could.
Plus Nadal owns 6 GS on hard court and even wimbledon twice. How these facts don't make him good in every surface while there were competent players out there who struggled to win just one major title, e.g Del potro (US open 2009). People think that winning a GS is such a simple achievement. Did you expect Nadal to win like 10 AO to admit he is good in every surface? Enough with this hollow and overused statement. Like it or not, right now with 21GS in his possession he is the GOAT. No feelings just facts
You do realize that even if he had never won a single RG, he would still be an all time great with 8 GS?
Btw. He has as many slams outside of clay as Novak has of hard court. Just because Rafa is better in clay than Novak on hard doesn't mean his clay archievements aren't important
