      Olayemi Chayah you kidding right?
      Kuerten numbers on clay were great but nothing too unrealistic to think that couldnt be improved in the future by someone. Many of the Big3 records (separately), such as weeks as n1 or number of Grand Slams, are incredible but who knows maybe someone will beat them in the future, if has happened once (or three times in this case) can happen more. But Nadal numbers on Clay (Roland Garros, M1000, percentage of victories on this surface...) are too good to think that any of us will live to see someone beating them.

    He was destroying Federer in his prime and won his first 6 Slams by beating him, won RG by beating Novak and Roger in straight sets consecutively and beat Roger at AO 3 times, both of them at WIM, and he beat Novak in 2 USO Finals, he never played Federer at the USO, if it weren't for so many injuries there wouldn't be a GOAT debate... He has the most mind boggling records in tennis and I think if he were to win WTFs and pass Roger in Slams you can say thay he really is the GOAT. • @Embrasive
    @Embrasive Před 4 lety +21

    Without injuries would’ve cemented his place already with 21/22 or more slams. Also lost 6-7 opportunities at grand slams due to injuries. Born with tendinitis + recurring injuries meant he can’t slide on HC or GC as effectively as Roger or Novak, making him less competitive on those surfaces than the two above. If we had pre-2010 conditioned Nadal the H2H should/could be closer on HC than as it seems (Which we will never know). How this man continues to defy the normality when coming back from injuries cements him as one of the best ever.
    Performances at Slams when he’s been injured EOY during the previous season:
    2012 - Injured EOY. 2013 FO UO wins.
    2016 - Injured EOY. 2017 FO UO wins.
    2017 - Injured EOY. 2018 FO win.
    2018 - Injured EOY. 2019 FO UO wins.
    That’s 3 HC slams from comebacks against injury and people still nags about his HC records.
    “Lets not taint achievements with subjectivity”
    Nadal is Amazing. End of sentence.

      Rafa really should not have played Hamburg in 2007. He was visibly tired after winning Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Rome in a row. With each match in Hamburg, he was slowing down more and more. The SF against Hewitt was the final nail in the coffin, and after the first set in the final against Roger, he was running on fumes. If he hadn't played Hamburg in 2007, the winning streak would probably have crossed 100 (considering his only loss on clay in 2008 was in Rome due to debilitating foot blisters against Juan Carlos Ferrero).

      @@Punkster556 Rafa has more US Open titles than Djoker, he leads Djoker 2-1 in US Open and leads Fed 3-1 at AO. Rafa has beaten Fed in Wimbledon, not the opposite. Rafa has pushed Novak to 5th set in AO final (was the first to do so), not the opposite. In other words, Rafa dominates his surface by far (I'm not giving you the H2H at Roland Garros It's brutal) but he is close to the other GOATS in other surfaces, any more proof ??
