If he gets to be Rahul-tramarines, the she should at least be Rebugga or something
I'm forwarding this comment on to her. Rebugga. Brilliant.
This is a top tier suggestion
Top tier stuff
Beccanids?
Hive Fleet Rebugga
I love how far Rahul has already fallen to Khorne. Or Russ, depends on if he stays loyal.
Did you see the last episode? I don't think he's staying loyal XD
He’s really speed running the astral claws fall from grace
Rahul already exemplifies more sportsmanship than most of the Warhammer 40k community. Please protect this precious man. 3:33
Edit: to 10th edition my friends 🍻
sportsmanship for the sportsmanship god!
Simp. lmao
This is really helpful actually, I've been struggling to get into the gaming side of the hobby, and this is perfect!
Glad to hear it! That was the hope behind these videos :)
Same here, this is an amazing series
Been painting for a year, and this is the first time I've been itching to play. Looking forward to a full game recap!
@@PlayOnTabletop I see you have some of the series marked as Membership. Will the entire series eventually be open to all, or will some of it remain membership only? I am getting pretty hooked on this series. I'd love to see someone teaching other basics about other armies (Eldar would be awesome for me!)
@@ThePawn02 The game itself is up for early access on CZcams membership. It will be released on CZcams general as well. While we don't have any direct plans for future series for this, thats not to say we won't!
Rahul seems like a cool person, would love to see him more on the channel
Rahul just wanted to say you’re an amazing actor, just rewatched midnight mass and your performance was amazing, crazy to see you on this channel of all places, so cool!
Oh wow, Rahul voices the space marine in Boltgun. I was so surprised! Nice!
Really that a good attention to detail
The only problem with this series is the proximity to 10th edition. Then again, by splitting it up like this, once 10th comes out, the sections that are changed can be updated, and the ones that aren't edition specific will continue to be valuable.
This brings so many memories! This series is super nostalgic of the time I was just getting into 40k. Good luck and welcome to the hobby Rahul and Rebecca!
I just wanna say the way you guys are doing this series is fantastic. the way you've broken up the sections of the hobby and the game makes it a lot easier to grasp each part because I'm not immediately thrust into the next part and forgetting everything i just heard and saw. that's always been the problem with full tutorial videos for me, is i watch too much of it at once and can't remember anything but like the first minute and last minute of it...
1:17 Steve, you are not the only one. I remember I played a Warhammer Fantasy game about 18-20 years ago at home with a friend and we used our books from the university for terrain pieces. Bretonnia vs Dwarfs. Good times! Awesome memories!
I honestly love this series.
I only play AoS, but I've been watching you guys for years. This has gotten me pretty excited to pick up the new 10th ed box with Tyranids vs Space Marines.
Awesome! Although we're worlds apart and likely will never meet, it's always fun to know that new players are joining. :)
As someone who has just recently gotten into WH40k for the gaming aspect (prior i had collected and painted 3 armys) this is going to be amazing. I cant wait for more.
As a long time player, it's great to see people being brought into the hobby and taught how to play. It's a complex game, and it's always nice to have a teacher.
I've been waiting for this series to continue! I love seeing new people get into the hobby!
Videos like this are amazing. Sometimes it’s good to step back and remember where we all started 👍💯
Really enjoying this series, looking forward to more. Great work everyone.
I am absolutely loving this series. I'm so glad you guys decided to do this.
Thank you for these introductory videos!
Loving this series, looking forward to all the episodes
Always loved your map set ups. Cool, well organized, and immersive every time.
A fellow UK 🇬🇧 and Warhammer newbie since Jan 2023 I am LOVING this new series 😀 😍 Please keep em coming
I'd love to follow their journey, as someone who's looking to get involved in 40k its a great insight. I'd love to see them build up to a 1.5/ 2k game.
Thank you for these introduction videos! I watched your 9th edition tutorial on how to play, and this is equally as great.
Thanks so much for doing this series. I've been struggling to find people at my local game store to help me understand the game and thus has already helped tremendously.
Love this mini series and can't wait to see the actual game!
Oh boy, looking forward to the next episode
I hope we get to see them in regular vids in the future as well ^^
I love how both got right into it as soon as the deployed the first unit.
This is such a fantastic series, I love it.
That cliffhanger! It's been fun to be working on my first army while this series is coming out! Finally making progress on an old Tau Empire Battleforce that's been sitting in my pile of shame. Can't wait to finish painting and find a local store for my first game!
This is a great video! Very engaging and insightful
WOO! love this series!
These are really fun videos, I think it'll be great to do a series like these again when 10th rolls out this year
This is such a great series. I've been wanting to get into 40k for years now, but I've got no space or time! I've been wanting to build Salamanders for years now and being shown how easy it is to start with putting together, painting, and deploying models im even more excited to start ASAP
You know, I really love this new series you are doing, I wouldn't object to finding more people after this and doing it with them as well. Maybe a 40k in 40min Episode with Rahul and Rebecca.
As someone who is just starting out in Warhammer 40k, this series is so clutch to understanding the game. Thank you all!
I like this breakdown of different phases of starting a game. Looking forward to the game starting proper.
Love this series. Very good lessons!
I love Rahul and Rebeca, would love to see more off them in future videos!
I can't imagine Space Marine Steve, after being beaten by Rebecca, and her asking if he regrets teaching her 40k, would reply with anything other than: "No, this is awesome!"
Damn Im so excited for the rest of this series! you guys inspire me and this is the only channel where battle reports are good! I can’t wait to start collecting Ultramarines but I don’t know which kit to start with or how to build an army.
There was a good starting box with some great characters and units. Scions of maccrage I believe it was called. Give it a look, great way to start ultra marines. Or guilliman, he's great
Scions of Macragge is a great box it has about 900 points of units, the UM combat patrol is very good as well I would recommend that more to someone who is just getting started. Also the new 10th edition box (comes out June/July) will probably be a great option as well.
Thanks so much for your help! But I have a few questions: What is the new UM box containing because will I have to get new models/ rules in the new edition?
@@patykaarplegos6282 Yeah! I also wanted to add Guilliman to my army. But so it’s optional? Isn’t there a requirement to have certain units or can I just have all infantry?
@@TheCenturion_123 You can play all infantry.
Rahul is such a good actor! Weird crossover seeing him here haha
I have been getting into the lore and this is really making me want to get my first army together and paint. You guys are awesome!
Start small with a battle box like this so you dont get overwhelmed by bits of plastic.
I love this series especially cause I have just started trying to learn 40K and kill team and I’m kinda lost. Just a perspective from someone who has just started I love it so far but I really hope you guys delve into some of the more obscure stuff in future videos, that’s the stuff that’s been challenging. Things like how to actually build an army, what the different types of games are (like wtf is an arks of omen) and like how did you know which units could be in reserve on this deployment. You guys are the best
What a wholesome series!
As a kid i collected almost 3300 points before even being confident enough to setp into a hobby shop. That first day went as poorly as it could. the employees were ghosting me and acting like i was trying to scam them out of the ''first free model and testing game voucher'' (Battle for Maccrage era). Spent easily 4 hours in the store as a shy kid without anyone talking to me even once.
Gave away the old crack and still love Wh but never got to play a single game.
Getting someone in on the right foot makes a big diference.
Thanks a lot for this series! 9th was a bummer for me to learn, but this format with how Nick and Steve give feedback as Rebecca and Rahul are playing is superb. It makes the game less intimidating, and I really like the pacing. Hoping you all keep this format (or similar) for 10th Edition. That would be so awesome!
Rahul-tramarines vs Rebenyds, love the charismatic players and this new series. started 40k this year thanks to this channel, where i'm from we only have 3 players, My hope is using this videos to get more people into 40k, Best wishes to everyone in the Play on team.
it was over when it was about to get good
Great episode, I'm about to paint my first army, I never played a game so this episodes come in with an amazing timing
I'm in the "touching ≠ on" side of terrain. Which is why terrain with bases are great. Great series, look forward to the rest
Rahuls voice is really soothing loving the series
You may be pleased to learn he is voicing the Marine in the new 40K game, Boltgun
This series is awesome
Love this series. It's helping me on getting my little brother into Warhammer. Definitely waiting for 10th though
Watching this series makes me really want to get into 40k, more than before. Always been more of a fantasy guy, but damn does this look fun. Let’s go Rahul-tra Marines
This is kinda giving me the inspiration I need to finally field some models and play. Just need a coach myself lol.
All I want is more Rahul and Steve!
First of all, awesome that you snagged Rahul, I’ve always liked his work.
Second, much appreciated that you guys are doing this for us noobs! I hate it’s at the end of 9th, maybe there will be another of these series for 10th!?
Third, I’d love a breakdown like this for kill team too
this is the worst cliffhanger ive felt in a while great content as always!
Rahul already has exceptional sportsmanship on the first fucking roll of the game. Well done 👏
I've been watching 40k40m for a long time but I've never actually played. This series might actually get me to start playing.
To be continued?! Well placed cliffhanger
Tyco should have been Rahultramarine's mentor.
If you want to start right now I'd recommend buying whatever models you like then waiting for 10th edition this summer. If its anything like age of sigmar its gonna be 100x easier to play, specifically for new players.
It's nice when you have small somewhat balanced games like this and you arent staring down a guard or tau gun line turn one.
Would love if you could do series like this but for Kill Team! Me and some friends of mine are gonna try Warhammer for the first time, and Kill Team is very natural place to start for us and likely for other beginners aswell
Ps Love ur content!
Both seem super nice. Rebecca seems Cheerful and Rahul seems like a really chill dude. Can't wait to see how this continues :)
The cola "fuel-up" is outstanding
also big shoutout to rahul for introducing alanah to 40k.
true ambassador of the game ;D
ChooseThisOne Nick is a tactical genius!
3:50
Awesome series, keep it up
Quick question. Regarding los to the tyrant.. I know you can visibly see him cause he so big, but I thought when measuring to see if he is obscured, you measure to his base. So if his base is behind the ruin, then as long as not touching it and the line from their model crosses that ruin when measuring to the tyrants base he is obscured?
:)
Play exclusively Kill Team and Warcry but these videos really make we want to jump into full 40K. 10e coming soon probably could be a better time.
We need more Rahul and Rebecca on this channel
Rebecca was in our first game of 10th edition playing Tyranids. Rahul has returned to Hollywood but if we ever think there is a chance to have him on the show again we would love to.
I would pay Steve to teach me. Seems like a cool dude. I’ve been trying to get into the playing aspect.
it’s time to play on!
11:40
Tzeech Rahul is so sneaky
Give this man, Rahul, a World Eaters box for the Blood God's sake!
I’ve just remembered Rahul played Ravi in iZombie!
ITSD MY BOI RAHUL, actor of best izombie character
Almost wish Rahul was playing Deathguard so he could be bossing around a big squad of zombies, I mean pox walkers.
Love me some of the Hollywood Bad Boy.
Mr Fasion himself!
I hope Rahul can be the live-action version of Eisenhorn.
Hopefully he's not torn asunder.
I'm so excited to see their first game, I hope Steve's luck doesn't rub off, lol 🤭
Rebugga should just go full aggression. I’m stoked to see the outcome!
I love Rahul as an actor! Even though he's excellent in iZombie, I thought midnight mass was finally a time for us to see his talent. He is going to be academy award winner in our near future. Rahul, stick to your interests, it's so neat to see someone so famous and talented down here on "planet earth".
I love watching your videos
anyone have tips on what unit is important to get for my orks combatpatrol GOFF army??
This is awesome for me I haven't played yet I'm painting two army's one for me and the other for my Wife. And I'm gonna be able to show her this series instead of trying to explain it myself as a new player😂
Ayo you didn't tell us Rahul is the voice actor for the Ultramarine in Boltgun! That's dope
I hope Rahul can become the live-action version of Inquisitor Eisenhorn.
Steve: "We need patience, and tactical thinking"
Rahul: "LEEROY JENKINS!!!"
Love Rahul so much ❤
What the fuck? I love Rahul-tramarines now! I love this series! It’s great to see new people getting into the hobby. These two are great sports! But I think my favorite part is watching Steve and Nick’s proxy war through the neophytes!
I miss seeing Rahul's hobby updates on Twitter :( I know why he left it, but he was always a positive dose of hobby interaction.
Ultrahul would be a good nickname
Rahul-tra marine is just the best.
Nice concept, dont forget do it with all the army you can, i am a tau man so....
The deadly trio
The taktical marine
Space marine Steve
And rahultramarine
Pringles cans as terrain? Son, back in my day we used them as proxies.
I already loved Rahul, but to know he's a 40k fan? My god.
Rahul
"You ever snogs some snorks?"
space marine Steve is me hero!! but nic is still cool as hell cause he plays tau. ( I play ultramarines and tau)
Rahul would be a fan of the 4th Company.
How do you get 40K stuff from wayland in the US. Doesn’t seem to work.
I would have ignored some of the terrain rules for new players as it quickly all becomes overwhelming. But interesting video
