They are rounded but only on the top not on the bottom

Well if you can afford to go for the 14inch then I would definitely go for that if you can
My 8GB M1 air can handle my 10bit 4K footage and large RAW files with many layers easily and barley even gets warm. It’s also much smaller and lighter then the 14” which is nice. I still really want the 14”but I don’t think I can justify paying another $1000 when I’m already content with the performance of my Air.
@@jjchockey yeh that’s fair enough! The M1 will be fine for a lot of people however for me just with the tests I have done, for my video editing which is multi layer, 4K multicam with several colour adjusts and audio editing, the M1 isn’t enough for perfect editing. I also speed edit meaning when I playback at 2x speed the footage starts dropping on the M1. I think when you get into proper professional video editing then the M1 does crack. All I can say is the 14inch so far has been amazing and it’s just the base model. Everyone’s uses are different and just because it works for you perfectly doesn’t mean for someone else it will. I think the screen is a huge upgrade too, to have a true 10bit monitor means more accurate colour grading and of course the miniLED means you can judge your black levels and details a bit easier. Also having a headphone jack that can power my DT880 Pro 250ohm headphones for audio mastering means I don’t need an amp anymore and I can actually take these headphones on the go. I mean there is a huge list of reason why these new MacBooks are for Pros (people who make a living from content creation, not as a hobby), the renders are already 50% quicker than the M1 too which for bigger projects is a huge timer saver! Anyway sorry for the long comment but just wanted to make it clear than yes the M1 should be perfect for most, but if you do make a living from your laptop then there is a reason why apple made these in this way
@@Techkhamun Yes agreed. All depends what you are doing. I never stack my 4k 10bit footage so that's why I have probably never run into any issues.
Just checked them out the 14" in the store and that screen alone is realllyyyy making me think about getting one. I don't need it but I want it lol.
@@Techkhamun I am just a medical student bro, and I am not into much on editing video bro. So, Macbook air M1 is enough right? But I want to use it for 7-8 years. so 8gb better or 16gb better?? And I am new to Mac OS environment...
