Thanks man, it's a really fun game. I'm sure there's bigger and better combos but this is whatever I've come up with over the years. Played a ton in the arcade and the N64 version was really good so I spent a lot of time on that too. Hadn't played in quite a while but this stuff sticks with me. Thanks for checking it out. You & KAG giving me the shout outs last night, much appreciated.

Mortal Kombat 4 was truly an underrated game. Did you know the game War Gods was used to test out the 3D engine for Mortal Kombat 4? I actually enjoyed War Gods and it's campiness.
Good ol KABUKI JO!!! I have WAR GODS on the N64, it's not a bad as people claim. I have some much worse fighting games than that. Yeah, WAR GODS was mechanically just an MK game for sure. And since it helped MK4 be better, then I appreciate it's existence. Just like how I thank MKvsDC for being the stepping off point that helped make MK9 so good.
@@GlaciusXL Voodoo and Cy-5 were my mains, lol. MK vs. DC wasn't bad at all but I just wished they kept the M-Rating. Even though it was in the shadows, there was that one cutscene where Deathstroke decapitated someone. Like come on guys, the DC Universe is dark and edgy as hell. (Joker's many atrocities, Green Latern's girlfriend dead in a freezer, etc). It would of been cool to rip Superman's head off. Out of the last 3 next gen (What I consider next gen, lol) MK games that came out, I still love MK9 on PS3. The gameplay still felt like an old school MK game aside from the new additions like X-Rays, Tag Team, etc. MKX and MK11 were cool and all but I really didn't care for the variation mechanics. Customizing your special moves was such a hassle. Especially, when you wanted to do certain brutalities. If they would of did a style switch where it's mapped to one button/trigger like they did in MK: Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon. It would of been more bearable. That's just me.
@@DaRealJohnDaGamer64 100% MK9 is my favorite of the newer games. Variations were neat but I hated that some of the variations were just "Hey, we took a move away from the base character, but it's in THIS variation" like SubZero ICE CLONE and Raiden TELEPORT. That was lame. Then MK11's customization was needlessly cumbersome. They took about 4 costumes and mix-matched them into 60 costumes. They give you like 5 SLOTS per character but it encompasses everything. The costume, the win poses, the moveset. So dumb. Then the Brutalities aren't shared in VS. So if you spent 8 years grinding towers and running around the RNG Krypt rolling the dice and unlocked a bunch of stuff... welp, do it twice because 2p won't be able to do any. The game was made with online as the focus and didn't care about LOCAL VS at all. Nor did they consider arcade stick players, despite the games origin being the ARCADE. Their Living Towers gave you assists that were mapped to RIGHT STICK... which doesn't exist on stick unless you have a switch that toggles the joystick from DP,LS,RS. Total oversight. They had shortcuts for THROW (1+3), STANCE SWAP (3+4) and INTERACT (1+2)... what was (2+4) used for???? Nothing. THAT should have been the ASSIST shortcut. Press (2+4 and whatever direction). But what do I know. You ever play MACE: The Dark Age?
@@GlaciusXL Ah, hell yeah!! Still got my copy on Nintendo 64. I also played the arcade version at a Peter Piper Pizza (Like Chuck E. Cheese) back in the day. Everything about that game was so cool. The roster was amazing. Ragnar, Dregan (Reminded me of Spinal/love his goofy laugh), Hell Knight, Xiao Long, etc. The executions were pretty dope too. I remember there was a code to unlock more characters and you could actually play as Pojo the chicken (Taria's Execution reference).That's a game that deserves a remake/remaster/sequel.
@@DaRealJohnDaGamer64 100% dude! Al Rashid was my main dude along with XiaoLong. Lord Deimos, Executioner. Overall great cast. Didn't dislike anyone really. It was like bits of MK, KI & SoulEdge in a blender. I never knew all the ins & outs of the game like the games i just mentioned but I knew enough to have fun. Some really satisfying combos. Really good music! Some great Fatalities. And yeah POJO is one of the greatest secret characters ever! Toss EGGS at people. MACE made great use of the arenas too. Varied terrain, throw objects, environmental hazards. Great announcer. I'll probably make some videos on it. I've recorded this looooong ramble about my history with Fighting games that I've got to record gameplay for, but MACE is part of it. Going to have to split it into parts, it's 1hr45min lol.

I kinda wish it would be a little more better on mame it was crashing before but i finally got it figured out so it doesn't anymore.
