Fun fact, a version of the opening of Drama Drama Drama Drama Island with Gwen as winner does still exist. That said, the English version was lost media for a long time. It’s since been found tho. Interestingly, in that version, she refuses the rematch idea and says she’s rather keep her winnings… and then Chris says the contacts are gonna force her to play again anyway. I feel bad for her.
34:41 Harold’s actually spot on with the second thing, that’s actually canon. Heather decided to reform herself through her own pure courage. Also her parents tried to kick her out of her house once she left for the show. Explains a lot why she’s the way she is… also I love Harold and Heather’s dynamic, they’re really fun as a duo.
Total Drama Drama Drama Drama Island is a really good special. I like seeing all of the original cast get a moment, I like how Justin is an actual character now, I like how Noah and Eva are randomly paired with Izzy that’s a really fun group. But this makes the beginning of Action’s greatest problem: it’s cast. The choice to not bring back the entire cast is pretty bad since the season is the same length, leaving a lot of it feeling… dragged out. And the character choice isn’t great. There were eight characters in Island who got severely less focus than the rest (Ezekiel, Eva, Noah, Justin, Katie, Tyler, Cody, and Sadie) and of the eight that most desperately needed the extra focus, Justin is the only one who gets to return. He definitely needed it the most, he had the single least amount of focus of the whole cast, but the other seven desperately needed more focus too. It doesn’t even make sense that they don’t make it to the water since they were all in a the prime spot. Katie, Sadie, Cody, Tyler, and Courtney were all on the board that Owen, DJ, Geoff, Bridgette, and Leshawna were on, Eva and Noah should’ve been following E-Scope, and Ezekiel should’ve been following Beth and Lindsay. I find it kinda interesting how you, and several other people I’ve seen, specifically said you wanted to see more of the early boot characters… and Action is the exact opposite of that. And tbh, you can really feel their absence in Action. But hey, there’s nothing we can do about that now, short of making a fan rewrite on ao3… which I did but that’s not the point. This episode also begins Courtney’s downfall. She’s a lot crueler here than in Island and it feels… wrong. But hey, at least we don’t have to deal with that too much for a while since she’s not competing….
One of my favourite episodes, the good thing is some of the characters not in Season Two return for Season Three ( Noah, Ezekiel, Tyler, Cody, etc )

That was just WILD & FUNNY how they were all getting and losing the money a lot of times and the ones who fell in the water at the end are going to season 2 and the ones who didn't are just gonna watch. Once again that's not fair Chris!
4:21 both owen and gwen were gophers so it's a win for them...heather too and she was 3rd so it's pretty clear which team was stronger
also, in my country gwen won so owen's ending feels a little bit off to me

It's Duncney, toxic but cute. I prefer it to the alternative, but if it was real, I'd be wishing it would die. There's this pairing in a teen movie that I ship, but again, if that relationship was real, I'd be screaming at the girl to get a restraining order urgently, even if it meant she had to turn herself in as a (mostly unwitting) murderer.
@@strawberrysoulforever8336 I grew up watching this from 2008 forward and I can’t even lie the alternative is much better for me from when I first saw Courtney I liked it but the toxicity is uh a lot 😂
@shiykyk7538 It's not a good relationship. Courtney is an abusive girlfriend but their relationship was good before they became official.
I hope you enjoy Total Drama Action. It's got its moments, but I personally found the groaners harder to get through, but the good ones far more worth getting through the bad ones (also the ones I didn't like were mostly clustered around the same part and then a long run of fun episodes). Of course, some of it will depend on movie genres you like, but it ultimately comes down to character interactions, just like this season did. Characters tend to vary in likability and effectivity from season to season if they are in more than one. All I'm going to say that my top 3 characters from this season were Gwen, Leshawna and Duncan. They deserved to place high. I won't tell you who my top three were for the next few seasons so as not to influence your views as the season starts. Just let it be known that I think they were the three strongest this time around.

…never really occurred to me that Katie and Sadie are kind of… flanderized as all hell in this episode. Like, they play up their annoying tendencies *way* too much and then proceed to completely retire the characters for the rest of the show. Out of every character in this *entire* show, by the end, Katie is the one who’s gone the longest since last appearing and that’s kinda sad to me.
Even in the last episode we saw Katie, Sadie had two lines and she had zero.

Dude, he can swear if he wants to. Just because you don't want to hear him swear doesn't mean he has to stop swearing in his videos.
@@lonnie3626 That said, I don't enjoy videos when the reactor swears just for the sake of swearing. Sometimes they just drop about five f-bombs that have nothing to do with anything. My partner uses that as an adjective frequently and I don't mind that, but overusing it kind of makes it lose any relevance as a word.
