This is a spot I’ve hit locally over the years, it’s massive but there isn’t a lot yet. I did a video here a year ago but didn’t even go in the radar towers. I was hoping the drone would add some spice, thanks for the comment Derren. Hope you had a good week man!
LET'S GOOOOOO 🍷🗿🏚️💯🔥🫂🏚️🏚️🏚️ 0:12 starting off with a absolutely amazing view 2:22 bird jumpscare 😂 3:27 atleast they left something behind, a sign and a lab coat 🥼 4:21 those pigeons really made themselves at home 😂 4:57 amazing view 5:12 holy moly 😮 that's alot of abandoned buildings 5:32 that sky is so peaceful 7:46 imagine getting to see it in its prime, it's crazy that it was abandoned long before both of us were even born bro 😂😭 8:32 aslong as you didn't get hurt that's what matters 👍 10:59 that red paint really stands out And everything does look relatively new Great explore brother!! I hope that $2 can help somewhat haha, can't wait to see ya again!
1. Thanks for the donation bro. 2 bucks or 2k you’re always there for me, I’m lucky to have you as my friend. 2. Wish we got to explore more of this place but the other buildings are either a. Beat to shreds b. Covered in cameras c. Completely empty. At least we got in the towers 🤷♂️ 3. No injuries and you’re right- the view is incredible. Love this place, I’ve been so many times and I’ve wanted to redo this video for months. Thanks again for the comment and donation bro:)
I don't remember this site. There was a site on Radar Road in Stillwater, up on the ridge. But it didn't have this much left. I remember seeing a site where it was still intact that overlooked the Mohawk River valley and the radome was intact, and the rotating radar dish inside was still working. It was green and looked like a giant golf ball 100 feet in diameter and height. There structures had huge radomes on top that looked like giant golf balls painted green That tower in the distance is a cell site with 1 company The closet tower looks like the a county repeater for the public safety system. It has microwave backhaul links pointing to other towers, so I would guess they use a 700 MHz phase 2 simulcast trunked system. All the towers would be linked by the backhaul 12 GHz or maybe 29 GHz point to point microwave links. When I used to film sites back in the 90s I would always get video of the active site ID contact signs
@@ocsrc oh you remember it alright, you’re totally on the right track👀. I’ve seen one other sight like this and it’s the radar base in VT, 12 miles ish up radar road lol. Obviously there’s about a dozen more but those two and the one on LI (which I haven’t been to yet, camp hero) You were right about the satellite dishes- the one in the back is a network provider. Revisit your comment, you know where it is! Thanks for watching and for the comment!!
@@TheLukeExploressorry I didn't get this notification just looked ,but always brother 🫂❤️ wish I could give more to help, and hey atleast y'all got to make it in so that's what matters 🍷🗿 I'm very lucky to have you as a friend Luke, I consider you a brother fr, hoping to donate more in the future, always keep up the amazing work and thank you for being so supportive 🙏💗 I'll always be here 💯 glad to hear there was no injuries
Yay, I made it! Still no notice, but I looked hehe. This was cool, except for all those down shots lol. It's odd that that place is still patrolled that much, makes you wonder what's still there.
It’s so weird that only certain people get notified. I really don’t understand, maybe it’s something I’ll look into tbh. Glad you enjoyed- those down shots really show the perspective of how high you are😂 it’s daunting that’s for sure, glad you enjoyed! I’ll be back to longer and more regular uploads next week:) hope you’ve been well and have a great weekend Mary!
@@TheLukeExplores It is weird, I don't get it! The down shots are great, but messes with my fear of heights lol. It's funny how videos and pics can do that.
Nice explore that Luke. The drone footage really added a sense of scale.
