"Mellow"? Yeah, you haven't met my GF's hyper active Golden, he'll spin around and whimper and jump on you even if you've been away just 5 minutes. I guess he might be a bit different from other Goldens, he's also a red coat "hunting" Golden, so I guess he's got more energy than other Goldens. He's quickly become my furry buddy though, I love that goofy big furball.
All Goldens are hyper without the proper amount of walks and playing. And not training has alot to do with them jumping on you and whimpering. Typically you can break them of those things.

I really want a golden but I work a full time job. I got my first golden when I was 12 and I trained him to go off leash in a field and on our lawn in just 3 weeks at the age of 15 weeks. I work a full time job and I am going to give him 1 hour of field exercise in the morning and 1-2 hours when I come home. I will also be paying a neighbourhood kid to walk my dog around the block and play with him in my backyard for a bit. Do you think my dog will be ok.
If you have someone coming to help during the day your dog will be grand.

That’s what I do and he seems very happy, so yes, certainly!
As long as he has a food and water access and a place where he can rest then surely yes

It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all
you got to be willing to play and exercise if you get a gr or any dog if you are on electronics for most of the day or if you are out of shape you shouldn't get one or work out more before you do because you'll be neglecting it and they won't be happy.

Do they work in apartment and do they bark alot?
They do not bark a lot and you could have one in an apartment as long as you’re willing to walk it as much as possible and allow it to get proper exercise

I have a 5 month old GR. She is very naughty, loves to steal things like socks and kids under wear and obviously food while I am cooking!! She showers all the family with lots of love ❤️. Loves to cuddle and jumps on my bed and sleeps till morning near my feet! Showers me with wet kisses in the morning xxx. Such a joy to have around the house.
