Knowledge forgive,
Come to bow
And drop to Me,
I'll save you
I give to the asking
Knowledge and mind,
And I give communion
To the sinned
Assign an repentance in rescue [x2]
To the semblance you,
Quiet and unworthy
Your slaves,
And in hour of a face of the glory,
The glory of My altar
And granded My worship
And granded My worship,
And glorification of eternity
Knowledge forgive,
Come to bow
And drop to Me,
I'll save you
Thanks Ruben! Glad you enjoyed it! Lyrics are not in Polish. It’s old Russian/Church Slavonic language. It’s probably the closest thing to original Slavic language from the times before the Christian Invasion. Pretty interesting stuff.
Well done, Marcin! Spreading that good word :)
Woah right on, thanks for this comment!!
"Christian invasion" calm down varg
@@pantsedjuniorhayseed4816 ??????? christianity is not a real EUROPEAN relgiion or culture. majority of countires were FORCED to convert to christinianity. keep living in denial dude. also calling him Varg shows that youre yet another uneducated clown
You should listen the whole album in one sit, its goddamn good stuff
Haha, they're just what I thought Ghost would sound like, about a minute before I played my first Ghost song. (Never been so diaspointed about a music act in my life, but I do love Ghost now, now then I know what they're about.)
But yeah, old school black metal, with that catholic blasphemy polish black metallers tend to bring forth (Behemoth, anyone? ;) ) and they manage to keep it fresh and exiting the whole way through. The clean vocals do it for me, with the intense and aggressive black metal melody as the base.
I do think it's nice to see Black Metal coming back, with fresh and creative input and with full force. As a norwegian I grew up with the "True Norwegian Black Metal" and I did see that the genere died out abit the last decade, with so many trying to copy other bands instead of making someihing new. But here we are, with new and creative music, a new take on an old, but great genere and I love it. It's still easy to play old Dimmu Borgir, Bruzum, Old Man's Child and Satryicon, but I do love that people try to invent and expand their music with a slight nod to the old ones.
How come you didnt mention Darkthrone or Mayhem, come on. But yeah this newer wave of acts like Peste Noire, Batushka, Mgla are pretty rock solid and will certainly eventually be considered cult classics like the big names of those times gone by.
How have I been sleeping on this band? Thank you for helping me out! Got here from your MGLA react.
Batushka are great! Sadly the Band has sort of a crisis right now.
How come? What have I missed?

They've been confirmed for incineration festival in London this. Kinda better sweet. I'd live to see them, but it all seems so hollow after that news broke a couple of weeks ago. Ah well, at least there's mayhem
another from Poland :) we like them a lot, but they have a big inside problem between guitarist that created band and vocalist, this will probably end in court, best regards Ruben!

I enjoyed this 👍
First, I found your channel when Amorphis released their album last year, and I loved your reaction to The Bee👍.
So, I would really like to hear your thoughts about a band from my hometown Stavanger here in Norway.
The band is Theatre of Tragedy, and the song "A Hamlet for a Slothfull Vassal " from their debutalbum (1995).
The female vocalist Liv Kristine sounds like Virgin Mary, and then comes Raymond sounding like Lucifer singing in old Gothic english.
Also, the song "And when he Falleth".
Nice! Especially now I'm just home from double shift. New energy😄

Soon to be seen in the Netherlands btw...so you really have to give them a try. ;)
They are singing in Polish, kind of. Old Church Slavonic, or Paleo-slavic. It could be quite different from todays polish
Church Slavonic is what they're singing in (the more "modern" variety of it) which is distantly related to Polish
Poland. You need to listen to more Riverside.

They aren't mocking or honoring christianity. Derph basically said that you can be dark without being overly blatant with the "hail satan" stuff. Christianity 500 years ago was obviously as dark as it gets. I mean, Vlad the impaler. I don't beleive that the band is mocking christianty. I beleive the mastermind behind it grew up in a poor, Poish village and studied in one of Polands oldest monestarys for like 7 years. I don't know if he's still religious but he has certainly spent a lot of time around the real thing.
Check out what happend when the hired vocalist stole the band and it was in the middle of litigation. I think like 28 Batushkas popped up, all claiming to be the real Batushka. 4 or 5 were started by actual priests and monks. Batyhushka being actualy, orthodox priests. There's even a greek one where the monks got in trouble for attempting to take down the corrupt part of the church with violence of some kind.
