My mother every Ramadan for suhoor same thing, except she would use a cup and splash it on my face lol EVERYDAY and suphanallah I hated it and never appreciated it until 6 months ago when Allah entered my heart out the blue. I was a Muslim that prayed barely ever. Then I stumbled upon Islamic history and then got into the seerah of our beloved prophet pbuh and that was it. Yasir Qadhi has a 106 episode seerah, watched the entire thing in 2 weeks. Definitely recommend it. I'll be in Texas in a week I pray to run into this amazing soul. May Allah answer that duah and everyone elses duah reading this comment Inshallah

Al hamdulillah that you got to understand her good intention and that you found real conviction in your heart now. This is what counts and if we seek we find so much proof in favour of islam. This continues all life long. Seek good friends to encourage you further. This is aming the blessings of dunya and akhira. So happy for you and your mother. May Allah accept your good dua' in the blessed month of Ramadhan. Allahumma balighnaa Ramadhaan and help us making the best possible use of it. So the Angels will pray for us Lailatul Qadr bi idhni-llah. And a little bit of prayer in the late night, even if it's two additional rak'at (raka'atain) is better than none! Subhanallah who makes things easy for us.

Please get hijama done every 3 to 6 months and do self ruqya inshallah you will get a child and lots of duas and read sura baqarah every day or every three days, I have met people who couldn't have child for 12 years, 15 years but after Hijama they conceived within 6 months, please don't give up, have faith, also please do morning and evening azkar and other zikir as much as you can, and read dua of zakariya aws and tell your husband to do the same. Hope you dont mind just trying to help from little I know. May Allah grant you a piouse child as soon as possible and may Allah answer all your duas. Ameen yah rabbal alamin!

One challenge I find is in encouraging those of us who are widowed, single (unmarried) and orphans brothers and sisters, who have no brothers and sisters or even cousins and uncles and aunties, and even those in abusive relationships, of how to find purpose in life. From my experience they struggle allot with finding a purpose in life in the midst of excruciating loneliness, and feeling of despair. This is beautiful lecture but I felt it focused allot on addressing those of us who are in healthy relationships yet I feel those among us who need guidance towards a purpose the most are those who luck relations to associate with or are in abusive relationships.

I did the same thing, like your mom, with my son when he was little but he grew up resentful and now even though he is a good kid but he doesn’t say namaz anymore. I am making dua for him with every breath I take. My heart is so hurt. But, I believe that Allah ta ala has a better and greater plan for him and for me. (I used to be too proud of him before he turned a teenager, so Allah ta ala slowed me down) Sorry for mumbling and taking lots of space here. May Allah reward you and yours Sheik :)
