This is devastating!! You can see the pain on Navalny’s daughter’s face. I’ve watched her many times & she’s always been strong & composed. You can see sadness in her eyes this time that hasn’t been there in other interviews. I truly hope Navalny is safe wherever he is. This family is unbelievably strong! When a prisoner is transferred to a different penitentiary, it's done in secrecy due to the escape risk protocols. Transfer normally lasts up to 3 months, so Navalny's family and lawyers new he didn't disappear, they just used this as an opportunity to remind the world about Navalny. Pure marketing.

Many years ago (maybe 80 years) my grandfather was arrested by the Soviets. My aunts tried and tried to find out where he was but were always fed the same line. Up until a year ago no one in the family knew what happened to him. The Ukrainians release the legal documents made at the time. He was arrested and one month later there was a trial and one month after that he was executed. His crime; he had preached in his church on occasion.
My grandfather was also imprisoned by nkvd in April 1940... When Germans moved into what is now ukrainian... The soviets lit the prison full of poles, ruthenians and ukrainians on fire.. These were political prisoners due to ethnicity and frankly, standing in the way of Stalin wanting their land, ie. Ethnic cleansing. My grandfather jumped off the roof and survived. After ww2, when my father found his family via red Cross, his father told him to stay in the west. He sacrificed seeing his son for over 20 years... His sacrifice meant his son had freedom from soviet oppression. My father had to create a new family in the west. I wouldn't be here without my grandfather's sacrifice. I never got to meet my grandfather.
