    Also just listening to Margo's speech put me in some kind of trance. Penelope Keith can be just like a hypnotist when speaking sometimes.

      Penelope Keith as Margo in the good life was very talented listening to her speech good actress in this show so was Felicty Kendal love watching the good life tv show wish bring show back

      Ironically, I think that TV largely replacing live stage performance has changed actor's speech patterns.

    Paul Eddington plays the harassed and harangued extremely well. Whenever he is happy in the series it is inevitably because he has just avoided a dose or knows he's about to have a period of solitude.

    It's only 35 years on I ve come to realsie how good PK actually was.
    Interestingly, now I dislike the "Tom" character intensely and like "Gerry" considerably.

    I think there are definite Freudian undertones with Barbara wanting to see how big Douglas is.
