    Thanks to your video, I was able to set up my Plex media server.
    It is the only video with which I was able to mount my PLEX server on my raspberry pi5.
    A greeting from Spain :)

    Thanks for this really informative video. I am thinking about setting up a Plex server and you have persuaded me to go down the Pi route. Cheers!

    Got mine up and running and it streams great. Thanks for this. I am having a hard time updating PMS, though. Any chance of making a video for that?

    Hi,
    This video is great, but I'm running into a problem with the configuration upon reboot. I'm running this setup with three drives (independently powered and connected via a powered USB hub) and after a little bit of trial and error, I figured out how to modify the instructions given to properly format, label and mount all three drives.
    But now I'm running into a problems and errors and boot loops on any reboot or restart of the raspberry pi 5. I've been trying to find a solution to the problem online, but I cannot narrow down the solution to one I can apply to your guide.
    From what I have read, it seems like the issue I'm running into is related to either, (A) because of the way Raspberry Pi OS is configured, I think what I read said that PARTUUID may not 'static' for reasons related to using Pi's in a cluster, so the drives UUID may not be staying fixed after a reboot or (B) The instructions are missing code to set drive priority and/or drive timing so the Raspberry Pi knows to delay loading a boot drive until a specific drive boots which has the configured OS on it. I also read something about problems with rebooting where the OS may be writing relevant boot data to the extra mounted drives and it could be causing boot issues.
    I think the problem is likely (B) and the instructions need additional code to make sure the system only boots the Micro SD card and not the other drive(s). Do you know what code would need to be added and where in order to fix the boot issue?

    Question, why you all use a MicroSD card if you can use a m.2 SSD with adapter (MicroSD Cards are not build for working space, it should used only for Data storage) ???

    What about OMV 7 + Plex? It has GUI for drive operations (mounting and formatting) which is easier.

    Txs a lot! two questions: is CasaOs necessary? can the SSD be replaced by HDD? last what is the problem in using WIFI internet connection?

    • @kskroyaltech
      @kskroyaltech  Před měsícem

      Yes you can use HDD ...
      Ethernet connection is the best cause when you ssh into pi 5 or access the casa OS with in a network you wont face any lag, latency will be very low where as WIFI module in pi 5 very bad I didn't like it. It drops the connection sometimes.

      it works really well but I got a problem when I reboot the Pi... I might have made a mistake somewhere when I made the mount automatic after reboot.... decided to skip the last passage and do it manually everytime a reboot is needed

    Have you got hardware acceleration working on jellyfin?

    • @ten.7aku
      @ten.7aku Před 4 měsíci

      Pi 5 lacks hardware encoders, you can't use it for hw accel. There might bea chance someone will get hw accel to work with a dedicated gpu on the pi 5.

      @@zero_O0 yeah arch Linux is not for faint hearted only the super nerds can manage arch. Cus one must have the Knowledge to fix something when it's broken in arch. If one can't fix suff by there own then Linux isn't a good choice for the. Anyways I still prefer to use Linux over windows.

    Should it be
    UUID="34b783d2-0937-4243-bda5-07a5acffa613"
    or
    UUID=34b783d2-0937-4243-bda5-07a5acffa613
    Documentation is not specific but I believe it is without quotes!
    This video may be about Plex on Rpi5 but for me it taught me a lot about mounting drives - Thanks for that!

    • @kskroyaltech
      @kskroyaltech  Před 3 měsíci

      run *blkid* command & you can copy the UUID
      the format is UUID=""
      Inside double quotes provide a device block id..
