Song: 3 Men Walk on the Moon
    Author: Vision Divine
    Movies/Clips: First man (2018), Apollo 11 (2019)
Lyrics for "3 Men Walk on the Moon"
    July 16th '69
    We left the earth
    all good in time
    Saturn V pushed up strong
    at rocket speed
    we broke through
    the stratosphere
    Gravity
    is now so light
    While we continue
    our journey in silence
    Touch the ground
    for the first time
    Open the lem's door
    Let's start the moon dance
    Ground control
From this corner of the universe
    The earth is looking blue
In this corner of the universe
3 Men walk on the Moon
Look at us touching this pale
    Grey ball up here
    for thousand of years
    Distant untouchable
    Now here we are
    fragile and small
    Touching the stars
    There's no wind
    and there's no sky
    And all the mountains
    are looking so damn high
    Here the loneliness
    is screaming loud
    The panorama is breathtaking though
    Ground control
From this corner of the universe
    The earth is looking blue
In this corner of the universe
3 Men have touched the Moon

In the end, all that really matters is moving humanity to the heavens. It is our purpose.

Mankind was intended, from the moment of our creation, to one day rule over the stars. Space exploration isn't just a soulless boondoggle for mundane scientific research or a hollow opportunity for one-upmanship between nations or empires; rather it is Step 1 in the process of making real Mankind's Manifest Destiny.

To admit we gave up on space is to admit something as trivial and petty as economic price is enough to break mankind's will.

    • @JohnTrustworthy

@Thystaff Thywill To us it is. Breathing the open air on Mars, walking on the Jovian moons, flying through the rings of Saturn and basking in the glow of Alpha Centauri. Those dreams will always be fiction to us. Feats that we will never achieve. But through our ingenuity and perseverance, our children will. Why should our sloth and greed shackle them to this earth. After all, this galaxy is ours by birthright.

    • @Jupiter__001_
      @Jupiter__001_ Před 3 lety +8

@Thystaff Thywill Have you got any evidence against the existence of space (i.e. in favour of a Ptolemeic universe)?
Given that we have landed rovers on other planets, I think it is safe to say that they exist and have gravity just like our own.

    • @Jupiter__001_
      @Jupiter__001_ Před 3 lety +11

@Thystaff Thywill Those videos seem quite unprofessional and polemic. Also, I can't help but notice that one of them says that NASA can't go beyond LEO, but yet another claims flat earth. There is no LEO on a flat earth.
I am a physics student btw, so I think that this is fruitless for both of us, as you believe what you want to believe, and chalk every evidence up as some clever facade.
I will end thusly: what if your whole world were fake? What if everything you know were but an illusion created by an evil demon? What if everyone you know were but a hallucination? Could you tell?
Now, this is not a useful way to live, but it is merely your way of dealing with information taken to its conclusion.
Why do you obsess over these things? It does not affect Christian belief whatsoever (e.g. Isaac Newton, who theorised universal gravitation, was also a theologian), which I assume you profess, based on your moniker.

For a non-Sabaton song and onto another metal band, it's quite impressive. May not be my top, but the moon landings are fascinating. Although the correction (to the band) would be only 2 men can walk on the moon for every Apollo mission.

It is sad to think, that when given the choice between rotting away on this planet that no longer wants us, or ascending and claiming the heavens which are rightfully ours, our grandfathers chose the former. With companies such as SpaceX we shall fix their mistake, and return back to space, but we shall not simply go to the moon, we shall go beyond and further.

They left a mirror up there which you can use to bounce a laser off of to measure the distance of the moon from the earth. That is pretty good evidence to me. There is no reason why their plans would not have worked (other than disasters, obviously, but I mean nothing inherently flawed about the plan), at least not mathematically or physically.
We had the technology, but we have been a bunch of wusses with regards to using it; so much so, in fact, that the expertise gained which was so critical to the Apollo programme has been lost to time.
Riddle me this: if the Apollo moon landings were faked, why did the Soviets not accuse them of staging it at once? They poured over the footage for hours, and found that it all lined up with being real.

@@Jupiter__001_ because the soviets didnt get far either and it was all teathre and politics. The coldwar wasnt the glorious america vs communists. Lol left a mirror on the moon to bounce off it, do you know how ridiculous that is? You are brainwashed

    • @Jupiter__001_
      @Jupiter__001_ Před 3 lety +9

@@SolarNeonFlare The Soviets did not get beyond LEO (at least with manned missions), that is true, but wouldn't that give even more incentive to try and cast doubt on the American achievement?
How is leaving a mirror on the moon to measure its distance ridiculous? That is how your laser measuring device (the ones you use instead of tape measures) work. It is clear that you overestimate your expertise in the field of astrophysics, and even basic optics. You Americans are so strange; it is as if your whole country is on drugs.

@@SolarNeonFlare What? It is very easy to point a laser at it because lasers are columnated, so its size (it is fairly large, but is obviously very far away) is largely irrelevant anyway. Also, I don't know where you got the idea of it being donkey-shaped.
I also heard no come back to the Soviets not exposing the facade, only polemics such as "stop living in a science fiction". I will never understand you Americans.
