- Hey guys đ€đ
In this video I, Jonathan a beginner at disc golf, is challenging Johannes, whoÂŽs been playing for 25+ years. Thing is that Johannes can only use a really understable and light weight beginner disc. I on the other hand can use as many discs as I want.
Hope you will enjoy the video. Have a great day! â€
/Jonathan
We tried this with a really super overstable disc also:

As a beginner that tries to learn from youtube and clubmates as well I can say that hiring Jonathan was a great move by latitude, seeing a fellow noob getting to grips with this great game in a very entertaining way is awesome advertisement, i own Several latitude discs now.
This has to be one of the best series about disc golf currently. There are hundreds of 'how to throw' videos. But to experience this with beginner is more instructive. I am mediocre player and have seen too many videos mentioned before, they have sometimes even caused damage to my throw for good while.
This made me really happy, Timo. Glad you like them! /Jonathan
Agreed. This series actually has entertainment value (and quite a bit of it), not just instruction. And that, to me, makes these videos great.
Johannes: "you could do the mature thing and pitch out..."
Jonathan: "we all know what's gonna happen here."
LOL!
All these beginner friendly videos have been an amazing thing to follow for a beginner. I've already played for like 5 years, but this is my second summer where I've actually started practicing and looking at how am I supposed to throw.
Just came back from hard ass track where I used to hit around +30, but just got that down to +9 and couldn't be happier.
Thank you for doing this and I'm damn sure all the beginners who find these videos will be more than happy with what you do.
ThatÂŽs great! Glad you like the videos :)
Love these videos. These are the reason I started playing a few weeks ago. Please keep them up.
Glad you like them, Tom. HowÂŽs the playing coming along for you? /Jonathan
@@Latitude64 Iâve got a long ways to go, but Iâm having fun and not giving up. Thank you and everyone that works there.
@@pennxl I think thatÂŽs the most important part :)
I would like to see you both use the easy to use discs. That would be interesting to compare and contrast.
This is a good idea :)
Haha, Johannes needs to have the Pearl as a signature disc!
Yes! đ
Tour series
Special Edition: Johannes 170 gr opto-x glimmer Pearl! Instant classic!
Iâm seriously loving everything with Jonathan. Yâall make me want to move to Scandinavia.
Jonathan is literally all of us. Especially the boast-into-wild-airball moment at 3:30
This video series is hilarious and insightful all at the same time. Seeing a beginner play is great for my newbie friends. Keep up the great work!
30 seconds in and Iâm already laughing đ â...a full bag, a bag of discsâ đđ
Nice work Jonathan! I can hear that snap when you throw the disc. It takes some people (including me) years to get the disc to rip out like that!đđ€Łđ Always love these videos. Thanks.
Thank you, John! :)
Maybe Johannes could also caddie Jonathan and "choose" lines for Jonathan. Great series, happy play.
These are easily the best disc golf videos on YT.
Thanks for doing these, and I love the Tomas cameos.
Glad you enjoy it! đ
Love the commentary :) Started playing four weeks ago, now I have 18 Latitude 64 discs :P
This channel is quickly becoming a go to. I enjoy is because I just started and watching you play with guys that are pros is wholesome and I can see how I would match up lol. Great stuff latitude 64
IÂŽm glad Eric :). Have a great day! /Jonathan
I found this channel today and I love it.
You guys are fantastic on camera
Welcome. And thank you :) /Jonathan
I bought my first Latitude 64 disc because of your videos đ
LOL!! " A tad to the right there ".
* Goes even more right *
Haha yeah the karma hit me pretty hard there đ
3:30 loooooool đđđđđđđ
I loved it!
9:51 I started bobbing the head when the music starts, then it cuts to the two of them bobbing their heads aswell đ
đ
YAHOO more of Jonathan playing!!!!! Love it guys!!!
I'm super impressed by how well Jonathan's little flick forehand approach turned out, since we haven't seen him practice forehands whatsoever :D
Thank you, Anders :)
Jonathan you are one of the best disc golf personalities making youtube content.
Lmao, jonathan was Englishing perfectly this video. Made for yet another awesome vid!
Love these series, love watching you get better dude!
Haha đ. Glad you enjoy it, Connor. /Jonathan
Your comments about Thomas @ 4:14 cracked me up đđ love the videos, keep it up!
Would really Enjoy longer, and more videos with you guys playing! It's awesome! Keep up The good work! đ
Noted :) . Glad you like it đđ€
You guys crack me up LOL! Great videos please keep them coming.
"and me" Jonathan - You are a gem!
Thank you for another great video. I am worried Jonathan, that you could beat me now with all the excellent training and skills you are acquiring.
Haha IÂŽm sure I couldnÂŽt, Shane. Glad you liked the video :)
I really enjoy all the videos you guys are making, all of you! Keep up the good work!
I have some nice Latitude 64 discs on the way, and I can't wait to try them out!
Cheers, guys!
Would love to see some forehand shots with the Pearl for the right to left shots đđ€đ„
Throw that Sapphire!!! Light is right. The disc is a Sađ„đ„đ„! Thrown with your natural hyzer release, watch if flip to flat and glide for days.
That was fun. I'm impressed that Jonathon can often throw in the right direction! He does seem to struggle a bit with the nose angle. I find that i often get the nose angle right, and fail to control my direction! If only we could join forces!
I bought the Saphire and I really like it. I haven't played too much and starting to get the technique in to get some distance with the saphire. Its a good disc.
Absolutely love the Sapphire in Gold plastic. Especially good in tail winds.
when Johannes popped out behind the bush at the11min mark and Johnathan said hello that shit had me laughing hard đ haha. These guys are great for a laugh while learning tips
You have help my game so much, keep the videos coming
The Pearl! Magnificent and Strange! I've brought one the past week! It goes right-right-right đ but, I think it should be interesting throwing (well, not like me an impenitent early beginner, and moreover quite old. đ) it on an Hyzer creating a good s flight shape. And if thrown with a strong Hyzer it seems to me it maintain its curve.
Would be kinda fun To see Jonathan go for a discgolf-roadtrip around sweden, norway and finland. To see the difference in coursedesingn and have a beginner opinion about differend courses
Very spiffy video edit, and great on screen talent lol! Thanks for cheering me up today âșïž
Glad you enjoyed it :)
You guys never disappoint! Love the video guys. I'll be adding more L64 plastic soon
Thank you, Nathan :)
your sidearm play looks pretty good, jonathan! tried it a few weeks ago for the first time and i don`t like it (so far)...
Just buy Fuse or maybe Pearl and you've got nice forehand with backhand throw. I have no forehand and use Fuse to compensate the turn when hole is between 70-100 meters. Better to learn forehand, but it breaks my body currently.
Thank you, Sven :)
Go with an overstable driver to learn forehand
Jonathan, I add one thing to my bag to make every round more enjoyable. You might like it too. It's called: a cold beer.
I love the pearl and tursas since I donât have a forehand throw.
Enjoy it as always. I know itâs good for the channel of you get comments so here we are.
Thanks as always
Haha thanks for the comment :)
Dude these guys are fucking hilarious
You should do course-reviews from a beginners perspective :) Get down to Wasteland :D Awesomest course in VĂ€sterbotten.
These guys are so fun. More backwards somersaults!
The first 4 years I've played I've only used a mid range driver. Lots of birdies/par, couple near Aces.
I think thatÂŽs a really good approach :) /Jonathan
Best disc golf videos ever, guys!
love watching johannes and johnathon!
Another awesome video. I laughed out loud so many times!
Definitely some sort of source...so many ants!! I laughed out loud... literally.
I am constantly surprised that you play in a swamp so far north.
I thought we here in Florida were the only ones who regularly played in a swamp.
Man this course looks nice. Where did you play?
My guess would be the only 18 holes course in SkellefteÄ Discgolfterminalen. I'll revise that seeing as it was only 6 holes it's no doubt Anderstorp.
@@FuckGoogle2 it is
@@FuckGoogle2 It is Discgolfterminalen, the red course holes 14,15,16,17,18,1. Anderstorp is a nice 6 holes super beginner friendly course, can recommend it if you live close to it and cannot get to Terminalen.
@@Murmeln88 Not even, my home course is Brohult Discgolfpark. Speaking of which is there a list of the oldest courses in Sweden? It should be right near the top being 40 years old.
This was at discgolfterminalen, SkellefteÄ, Sweden :)
"Should be fine." Lmao
Nice Jimmy Cliff impersonation @9:35
3:30 LMAOOO :DD
đ
Jonathan: "It's a good thing I feel comfortable putting" *putts disc right of basket into pond*
đ
Unfortunately Jonathan, you're soon gonna have to stop calling yourself a beginner. And nice to see a "full caveman"!
Haha I see this in the comments. But when does one stop being a beginner?
@@Latitude64maybe never in this case.
@@Latitude64 Maybe that's like asking when do we ever grow up? đ Some of the throws I see you making though makes me want to figure out what level is before "beginner" as that may apply to me.
@@chuckcole noob
@@chuckcole Novice, Beginner, Amateur. I think that is the order.
8:10 that roller looked so promising. It Hits thr only tree dead on haha. I was hoping to hear their reactions but its just silence and then cuts đ
I hope little Tomas was able to get the autographs to take home. Really would make my day to see him run off with happiness in his eyes
Haha thatÂŽd be so great đ
Definitely want to see more content
Nice forehands!
Where'd you get that "The Last Hole" music? That was some good stuff.
Grattis till Johannes med segern förra helgen i LuleÄ.
Han gör det bra :)
Ahhh the classic ant "source." Beware fellow golfers. Watch those feets.
Why is it only 6 holes?
We settled on 6 holes to not have too long of a video. But maybe weÂŽll do a 9 hole round next time.
Another great video, but when you build your bag with the fairway drivers if you don't pick the explorer I'm going to unsubscribe. Not really but the explorer is a great disc!
Haha that'll be the very next video
Thanks for the great vid again Jonathan! đ
Glad you like them đ
This may be a dumb question, but why not forehand with the panda when you need to veer right?
I personally nearly always throw backhand because I don't trust my forehand :D
@@HWOMJAW same I can throw 260 backhand but I'd be lucky to get 75 feet on my forehand with zero accuracy
@@HWOMJAW I trust my forehand, just not with light weight discs. Also you want an overstable disc to have it veer right on a forehand as it's the opposite of the backhand.
I think Johannes is just more comfortable with the BH :). And especially with a disc he usually doesnÂŽt use.
Hey i love your discs and love te videos
Glad you like them both :)
I'd love to try it but doesn't seem to be many active places to do it in Australia
I'd like to see you guys play a round with just the Latitude 64 Bite.
Love these guys! great video
Glad you like them!
Please make Johannes use a mini next timeđ€Łđđ
This had crossed my mind, haha đ
@@Latitude64 haha, or maybe a bag of minis. They do fly differently after all đ
At some point Johannes will have to have played disc golf for 26 years. đ Sticking him with the Panda-stamped Pearl, that's just EVIL Jonathan.
Haha yeah. I think it was like before it was "around" 25 years. And then he counted and it actually is 25, haha đ
3:33 đđđđđđ
2 minute mark making me think of Nightmare Before Christmas. "What's this? What's this?" A Disc flying through the air. "What's this? A tombstone landing there. "What's this?" I can't believe the source of ants.
đđ
I have the same issue. Just started playing and people tell me i have a lot of power, so of course i go full viking on it. Mo powa baby!
However, it's not really working as intended.
Why didnât Johannes throw forehand when he needed to go left?
My forehand is not that smooth. Pearl with my woobly forehand would barely fly :D / Johannes
F**k, this channel is funny!! Keep it up :D
So this is going to sound kinda weird....
But what is the style of pants Johannes is wearing called? I saw them while in Germany years back and liked them but I have never seen them in the u.s.
I think itÂŽs just like "outdoor" pants :)
"We all know what's gonna happen here..." Every single shot I make.
đ€Łđ
Eventually you will get to a point where you could take multiple completely different discs and throw them all in several different ways and get them to land in relatively the same spot.
This. I would like to be at this point soon. Would be nice :)
I still don't have much accuracy or distance with my forehand shots but I've been practicing and improving. And my distance throwing could definitely be better. But I seem to throw just far enough that I can be competitive with people who are far better than me. I've seen footage of the pros at Blue Ribbon Pines in Minnesota shanking shots and missing gaps and putts that I've done better on. But on the long bomber holes that's where I would get smoked lol. My best score there is +5. There's so much OB there lol.
Yeah that totally makes sense :)
beautiful course
Oh Jonathan, don't ever change
The thing with beginners' discs is that they make any experienced player look like a beginner.
âLetâs see how Frodo puttsâ priceless
đđ
This makes me feel so much better about myself
Great video! That was hilarious!
đđ»
Damn I want to play with you guys, seems like so much fun!
Maybe you could share some fuses, I can't find one anywhere and you have a whole stack.
Yes the thumbs
@ 6:44 why does his leg look funny or is it just me lol
I relate to Jonathan skillwise. Smooth looking releases, just wayyy off target.
Haha đ
oh this is gonna be awesome!
