This song and this particular concert, I feel, is a testament to the power of music and how it shows that regardless of ethnic backgrounds, religious ideologies or caste, we all share in something wonderful. At the end of the song when Hansi is trying not to cry, you can see how moved he is that his song, a simple melodic tune, can unite and bring people together and sing with one great voice. This is what brought me to metal years ago: the idea of a brotherhood, bound by this great magical thing hidden in music that makes us sing out with our hearts and reach for something ephemeral and abstract. Recent years have shown to me that, though it has gone down hill in many regards, metal as a community, regardless of it's style, subgenre, and so on, is something that brings together ALL walks of life from every corner of our world. It's our commonalities that we as a species need to take pause and regard, to look at the bigger scope and finer details of ourselves, and realize that in the end we all share the love of good songs, comfortable lives, and to pursue our dreams big and small. Its easy to forget that sometimes, when plagued by the ignorance and stereotypes that perpetuate hatred and bigotry in all ways, but when we are willing to stop and set aside the things that are irrelevant, we will discover that we are all the same in our individual way.
+VikingFyre Very well said, friend. I'm glad, and proud, that somewhere out there in the world, there are people like you, those fiery dots of light blazing in the dark. Thank you for that. Greetings from Poland.
i would love to see them live, this song is so beautiful, it almost brings me to tears, singing is amazing, the guitar is amazing, it truely is the best song ever.
….es war das geilsten BG Konzert (war aber bis dato erst auf 25 oder so) und in meiner Erinnerung eines der besten auf denen ich je war! Auch nach fast 20 Jahren noch in Erinnerung geblieben
All you people who say this kind of thing must stop. Because someone else can be like "oh, yea? no dislikes? here you go!" and they dislike the video. This video doesn't deserve any dislikes really but people are people and the video had 0 dislikes no more.
