His performance blew me away, You can tell he really is a master! The creative sounds he employed were so beautiful I can't wait to discover more shakuhachi music.
Yes! I wish I had a better mic to capture his performance! Please go listen to his music. They are amazing!
Moonlight over ruined castle with some variations. Very good performance
Amazing life story! It’s incredible that meeting one instrument could change somebody’s life completely.
That is so true. If he hadn’t discovered shakuhachi his life could have been completely different.
Great dive into an amazing musician’s life and career! Thanks for uploading!
I never heard of the Shakihachi before. I’ll check out the documentary about John, seems interesting.
Nice video!
It’s an excellent documentary! I loved it! Let me know how you enjoy it🙏🏻
want to note that playing the flute in the wind is much more difficult. You are really lucky to have so good teacher for first sounds
Indeed I was lucky!!
Beautiful little docu. with some really brilliant playing. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!!
This was great and fun to listen to! Thank you.
Great interview brother! and what a fantastic interpretation of kojo no tsuki! Really enjoyed this 👍
What a wonderful, interesting interview. Thank you!
good interview ! You did very well getting a sound right away!
John-san was a great teacher🔥😉
私も吹奏楽やってたのでよくわかりますが、尺八はほんと難しいですよね
一般向けの楽器じゃない笑
Toru
I find the spiritual origins of this instrument fascinating, I'd also like to try making it but I need to source the specific kind of bamboo or something
YOu can buy just the Bamboo "stock" from a maker.
When he played it backwards 😂
🤜💥🤛
I hope you have the right lips for producing a sound …..😂😂😂
I want to say the piece he played at the end was a classical piece. I've heard it before. I just don't know the name.
Kojo no tsuki!
@ToruUchikado Thank you so much. You had no way of knowing this but you just helped me unlock a powerful experience from my past. This melody was actually one of my earliest memories. My grandmother who raised me was Japanese. And I don't remember where or when it was, but when I was very young, I heard this playing and was transfixed. It was stuck in my head for so long and aside from it being a standalone experience, always made me think of my grandmother. She's long since passed but I've been experiencing a lot of things coming full circle recently, so this adds to that list of synchronicities.
Great video,, great sound 💛💚
