Veruca Salt.. great guitar band fronted by female guitarist/vocalists. Lush. The same. HEART... those fabulous Wilson sisters. The Runaways. The Donnas. There are others that people will add to the list like L7, Belly, the Breeders, etc. plus all the solo artists like Ford and Benatar. All great. Also I would recommend the Go-Gos from their punk days before they went pop.
Saw them with Live and the put on one hell of a show. Enjoyed their entire set even though this was the only song I'd heard from them. Was very pleasantly surprised.

Siiiick!! Weird that this band was described as the female Beastie Boys at one point. They really weren't. Had a totally unique sound. Something about the harmony part in "it feels, alright" almost sounds like a Gregorian chant. Hypnotizing. Sooo cool
