Josh, if you could have smiled any more you would have broken your face. Personally I love watching this kind of flying but not a fan of experiencing it unless necessary to achieve some unnamed objective.

This was filmed more than a year ago and...if I'd been the passenger I'd still be apologizing and cleaning the cockpit! This is the most outrageous Av-video I think I've ever seen! The camera angles, audio...it was like being there. Here's a late-vote for best aviation-related video of the year!

Josh, I've said this before, How in the would can you call what you're doing work? You are having entirely too much FUN!!! to call this work. I'm totally jealous. I was able to go on a 30 minute aerobatic flight in a Stearman with the Red Barron Squadron several years ago, this by far was way beyond what we did in the Stearman. Totally awesome!!
I was 1/2 way thru this video before I realized who the passenger was. Then I thought the voice sounded familiar !!! I had watched a few FliteTest videos and then it came to me this was Josh !!! Way to go Josh - much respect your way.
I don't really know what words to use here except to state that this is/was the closest to being in the seat flying by the seat of mine pants as I'll probably ever get!

I have my private check ride soon, and a friend of my dad is an Alaskan pilot, and he has a pitts special that he said he'd give me a ride in it. I'm super excited

Yes, by all means, get your pilot's license, at least a Light Sport license! It's a whole different world up there, one that'll give you a sense of freedom. You can purchase an ultralight and legally fly without a license or get an LSA and get into a small experimental aircraft a whole lot cheaper than a full size General Aviation aircraft. I've been flying since I was 5y/o starting with my dad in a C-170A, nearly 50 years now and have had some great experiences, you won't regret it! All it takes is desire and money! How much money, like any other hobby, depends upon how much horsepower you want to play with. ;) Best of luck to you!!
I had Mall Buttersworth (the then 3 times world acrobatic champion) put on a bit of a private show for me as I had to drive him to the Stanthorpe Aerodrome and pick him up again when he did stunts for the Stanthorpe show society in 1989 this has been an absolute blast watching this thank you Flight Test and RedBull. Just as a side note it was in a twin wing prop start.

Going to my first Red Bull Air Race in Indianapolis (2017) and I am so looking forward to this. Got tickets from my kids as a Father's Day gift. Would love to take a ride in one of these planes. Cant wait.

I worked on some Cessna 208 Caravans on my internship 6 months ago what a lovely plane! Also that was awesome! Really love to watch aerobatic flying! Would love to do that if i ever get the money for it!!!!😍
