Ever since their new album came out, I've been listening to it on repeat. I have to say that they've helped me through a lot of rough times for the last three years. As someone with hardcore depression, music has been my only savior at times. I started to seriously listen to Phantogram at the peak of my depression and was contemplating on ending my life. I listened to all their albums on repeat, thinking that many of their songs were anthems of people like me. Reading Sarah Barthel's reasoning behind this album essentially confirmed that theory. I remember putting "Same Old Blues" on repeat for hours and hours (It was actually one of my top listened to songs on Spotify for the past few years). These songs keep me living and sane. I just feel the need to thank Phantogram for all it's helped me through. Especially now, with how crazy everything is. Listening to this album, over and over, has kept me calm. "Dear God", "Into Happiness", and "Pedestal" all feel like reflections of Phantogram's mental growth, especially Sarah's, and I'm happy to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel depicted in their music. It's a blessing to be emotionally growing with this band.

Their Three album was a departure from their usual sound. Not surprising considering the suicide of Sarah's sister. Which happened one month after the suicide of my wife. That album really helped me through a lot of darkness.

Because people are attracted to bad music it seems like. The only artist that is insanely popular that I would actually listen to right now is Billie Eilish, she's actually talented (and a Phantogram fan). But everything else they are putting on the radio, 99% of it is crap... absolute crap. I am absolutely shocked that they aren't more popular. But then again, I'm kind of glad they aren't. That way I can go and see a show and it's more intimate. You aren't squeezed in-between tens of thousands of people or paying out the ass for a seat up in the nose bleeds.

I didn't understand the lyrics before.. I couldn't relate. Now I'm just terrified. "Every night dancing with my shadow" - I still don't have the light in my bedroom, so I often dance by leaving the flashlight on my cellphone. I don't have a mirror, however I needed to see if my movements were smooth enough because I have a major problem coordinating my arms and legs. I basically dance with my shadow. "I can see the end is coming 'round" 1:02 The plastic head from the medication "Geniol", it's our, Argentinian medication.. Here "the end that goes 'round" is a cup of mate with a straw. People share it, because they're stupid enough to do it. They share their saliva through the straw. And if one person is sick - the others will get sick too.
