    In memory of those that could not take that breath of life... for Samuel, Jose’s brother and Desiree his cousin. And for all of those that waited and wanted this miracle. Jose will take a breath every day in your name. 💜
    For Claire. Who brought us so much awareness and hope. Jose now breathes for you too and follows in your footsteps. He will do amazing things just like you did Claire. 💜
    For the many donors all over the world, this is YOUR GIFT. THIS IS YOUR MIRACLE. Thank you!!! ❤️
    1 Peter 5: 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 🙏🏻

    This video just came up in my recommendations. Today, May 25th is my daughter’s 39th birthday. She passed away in 1992 from cystic fibrosis. She was 12 years old. It amazes me how far Cfers have come. In the 80’s they didn’t know what gene caused cf and now they have thousands and much improved on medications. It’s wonderful. Thanks for the videos.

      I would think that they would be. Such a beautiful thought to think of, because once we reach the other side, we are no longer consumed by the petty things of our earthly lives and we become filled with an abundance of love. I would like to think that the donor would be there to help breathe life into the patients, just from the love that has filled them by crossing. If that makes any sense?

    Hi Abby and Jose, I just wanted to share this with you guys... My teacher has us do a "blog" everyday where she posts a question and everyone responds on the forum. This past week, we were asked to talk about our role model and why we chose them. I chose Jose. I told Jose's story in my blog. From losing a brother to almost receiving lungs three times--until he finally did. Jose makes me realize how blessed I am to be able to breathe everyday. I also now know not to take anything for granted. Thank you, Jose. I am keeping you, your family, and your donor's family in my prayers. I love you guys. Thank you for inspiring me to live my life to the fullest everyday.❤️

      Nova Del Fuego ....yes, God certainly did. But the sins of all mankind has caused illness in the body that God gave us. We have been negligent in looking after the body God gave us.......in many different ways. But when we decide to follow Jesus in faith, we can ask God for healing.. He will always heal His own, but we don’t know if that healing will take place on this earth, while we’re still in this mortal boy, of if God will heal us by taking us to heaven. We’re not meant to know & understand God’s plans. We’re just meant to trust Him & obey Him. Salvation is a personal intimate relationship with Jesus. When He surrendered His life for us on that cross He took upon His sinless self ALL our sins. He paid the price for our sins.....because He loves us & wants us with Him for eternity. Jesus is the ONLY way we can get to heaven. God tells us we can’t get to heaven by being a good person,.....or by good works,....or by being baptized, or by going to church. Jesus is the only “bridge” to God. He loves us & will take us just as we are. He will transform us & will give us joy, permanent satisfaction, & hope for a future free of all suffering & sin & death & darkness & stress & fear.....when we’re finished with our present mortal body. We will be given perfect bodies & joys & excitement & adventures unlimited,.....for eternity. So when God heals us, we rejoice & thank Him.....& when He chooses to not heal us, we learn patience & perseverance through our suffering. Our suffering can glorify God,....which makes my own constant suffering worth it! Jesus suffered for ME!

    Just a little insight...harvested lungs need to be planted w/in 6 hours. So what's probably happening, is that the doner family is more than likely making the determination to unplug their loved one (doner). Once life has extinguished, then the whole procedure begins. Exciting But bitter sweet. Glad youve found a match. I know you'll treasure you're second chance at life. Remember how you got it, so that the doner's gift is not in vain.

    • @Abbylorenaa
      @Abbylorenaa  Před 5 lety +2

      @@Abbylorenaa yep, I'm positive he is greatful for this beautiful blessing. So happy for you both. I'm only thinking about the time you arrived at the hosp. and how long it took to get to the decision of impemding surgery. It was the conversation you were having that made me think of this. The actual surgery portion to place lungs takes about 2 hours. The whole surgery could be 8-10 hours sometimes. The clock starts on viable lungs once the doner lungs no longer move air to the point when they are inflated inside Jose. THAT PART needs to be less than 6 hours.

    • @Abbylorenaa
      @Abbylorenaa  Před 5 lety

    I cry.. So beautiful young man and his girlfriend or wife.. Their bond, their sweet personalities. ❤❤
    I 'm so glad he got this chance of new lungs. I haven't seen the video to the end yet. Got so moved watching when he woke up, his greatfulnes. Think how nice it was that some other family gave those lungs to him. If they knew who got them, I think they would be glad they went to him. The doctors, glad they are so educated to be able to help people get a new chance to a better life.
    Very moving... Wish everyone involved well! 💛❤🌹

    Seeing Abby cry pre transplant breaks my heart. I lost a good friend a few days ago when her transplant surgery turned critical so I can understand the dread, fear but hopefully anxiety she would be feeling. Seeing him afterwards is one of the most beautiful moments to witness

    Wow this was so beautiful! I am so happy for you guys. I have two friends who have CF and this hits close to home. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I think the awareness this brings will give hope to other people who need to see how wonderful this can be. I bet this will cause people to think more about being an organ donor. My daughter had a small bowel and pancreas transplant when she was 4 and it saved her life after being on TPN for 2 years living with a paralyzed small bowel and no pancreas. She has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which I passed down before I knew why I was so sick. She's 15 now and thriving, the happiest kid I have ever known acting like a teenage girl which is the best thing ever. We did not expect her to survive even after the transplant. Organ donation is such a blessing and I hope people see this and realize how important it is. I am brand new to your channel, this was the first video I have seen and I am really pulling for you!!! The moments right after you were extubated Jose, were so emotional even for me! I'm totally not a religious person but to see the passion in the prayers and all the emotion was just so powerful. I can't wait to see what's next for you guys!!!
