This is from old English folk song. Simon & Garfunkel version is the most famous as far I know. There are some stories about this song Scarborough Fair..what I've read was this is a song from a ghost (soul) of a dead soldier. He asked the herbs growing on his dead body to deliver his message to his beloved girl in Scarborough Fair where was a big herb market. He asked the herbs to tell her impossible task "Tell her to make me a cambric shirt without no seams nor needle work" to make her give up waiting for his coming back as he's already unable as he's dead. Forestella sang like as messengers of this sad and beautiful story. Also there are symbols those herbs significated: parsley for comfort or to remove bitterness, sage for strength, thyme for courage, and rosemary for love. There's some speculation that these four herbs were used in a tonic of some sort to remove curses. What I first heard was to remove memories..so I thought he (the dead soldier) wanted to remove the memory about him from his girl to make her not mourning for him anymore. BTW I found those herbs cannot be grown in the same areas in fact while on my researching English references.. so it could be just for remembering the recipe for turkey seasoning ingredients, too.
FORESTELLA is definitely one of the best that music industry has to offer. This version of "Scarborough Fair" is one of their more classically songs and showcases their unique abilities and ranges beautifully. BUT these guys are incredibly versatile and creative, taking on EVERY GENRE and style. Thanks to their very flexible voices and outstanding skills, they adapt to any genre and deliver one best performance after another. They mostly cover TOP songs, give them their own flavor and, with each of these versions, make the original their own and make it a new TOP. Definitely recommended: "Lazenka Save US" (Rock/Metal), MAMA (by EXO), "Bohemian Rhapsodie" "LEGENDS NEVER DIE" (from League fo Legends) and their originals "Snow Globe", "Save Our Lives", " "Utopia" and "White Night". Their names from left to right in this video: Ko Woorim (classically trained basso profundo), Kang Hyungho (countertenor and rock voice, no official vocal training), Cho Mingyu (classically trained tenor and leader of the group), Bae Doohoon (tenor, musical actor). The reason for that is that the record label ( their copyright holders) placed an immediate 2 day global block on the video as soon as I published it...so in actuality the video has only been up for a few hours on CZcams because of that. It would STILL be blocked if I had not disputed the copyright claim. These types of setbacks are something that every music reactor deals with on the regular. Check back in a couple of days and I believe you will find the viewing numbers more to your expectations. A 2 day global block doesn't normally affect SUPER ARTISTS much anyway! I too love the extremes!! Their bass 'Ko Woorim', and their Tenor~Soprano 'Kang Hyungho' are absolutely amazing. What baffles me, is that three of them had either been classically trained (Basso profundo & Tenor Leggiero, both rare vocal types) or had experience from doing Musicals (Baritone~Tenor), while their Soprano didn't recieve any training whatsoever prior to joining!!! Safe to say he was born with the voice of an angel. He might've become a chemist had he not auditioned for that vocal quartet show

Scarborough Fair is an Old English Folk Song. We had to sing it "in Rounds" in Music Class, 60 years ago. As a result, I hated this song (even Simon & Garfunkel's version).. until Forestella. They breathed life, and pathos into it, as befits the words. You should check out their Bohemian Rhapsody, Shape of You, Bad Romance or Despacito. If you like Metal, you should check out The HU (if you haven't already). Try their Yuve, Yuve, Yu with Danny from From Ashes to New. Or Mother Nature with L.P..

Scarborough Fair is an Old English Folk Song. We had to sing it "in Rounds" in Music Class, 60 years ago. As a result, I hated this song (even Simon & Garfunkel's version).. until Forestella. They breathed life, and pathos into it, as befits the words. You should check out their Bohemian Rhapsody, Shape of You, Bad Romance or Despacito.
If you like Metal, you should check out The HU (if you haven't already). Try their Yuve, Yuve, Yu with Danny from From Ashes to New. Or Mother Nature with L.P..
