- Again with the CRAZY course timing the hornet buggy ...man it has so much understeer...I think it's from my mod to the rear suspension it now works better and grabs more because it stays planted down now and makes the front have understeer...need knobby front tires!

Awesome video, loved the music too. I'm a little baffled as to why its back end bounces around so much, when it has the oil shocks back there. From The Grasshopper, it's expected; not so much from the Hornet. Still, to my old eyes, it's one of the best-looking RCs ever made. (right up there with The Frog, Avante, Fire Dragon, Boomerang and Lunch Box)
Great little course you laid out too; perfect to have fun with it without really risking breakage.
Thanks! the bouncy rear is just the nature of the hopper lunch box type chassis they have faulty suspension designs, when you give them gas the rear shocks pull apart and open fully extended and lock up the suspension from being compressed...only when you let off the gas and roll you will then see the suspension working over bumps.I love the hornet also my fist kit I had as a kid!...check out my hot shot video on the same course.
Tamiya kits are so awesome... if you get one, you get an easy build and lots of fun for a good price..!

+Nordic RC Visions Hi thanks and the hornet is a blast to run!those are duratrax jumps.. they come with metal sections to hook and hold the ramps up but I found the ramps work much better on a lower angle with something a few inches under the center of them. stock the angle is way to high like hitting into a wall almost and the cars don't jump good.
They look good and looks like they can be transported quite easiliy in a car. Nice. Thanks for the information. Nice modification. They spark up a flat field. Looking for some similar solution myself.
+Nordic RC Visions yes they are actually light plastic with like air chambers and they fold and slip right into the cardboard sleeve packing they came in.
