I refurbed a wall mount Swingaway with a set of exact replacement parts from Sierra Valley Trading Co. I kept track of the original parts as I removed them so that I could be sure the new ones went on in the same order and direction as the old. I used food safe lubricant. The crank turned smooth as silk, so I mounted it on the wall. So…I just made my first attempt on an average sized tuna can, nothing too heavy. The blade pierced the can just fine, but as I turned the crank the bead around the top of the can slid out from the blade and the can separated from the opener. This might not be a problem if this was a hand-held since the can being opened is likely supported on a counter, but on a wall mount one with gravity pulling on the can as it’s up in the air, that grip of the blade needs to be secure or…big mess. - I’ve tried adjusting both upper and lower wheels in and out but problem persists. Do you have any advice?

I don’t think the opener is meant to hold the can up in the air, I believe you have to support the weight with one hand whilst cranking with the other.

Thanks. I can't wait to try reviving mine.
