I have the one with the camo bezel. Very nice looking watch. I've been wondering if Casio would ever come out with "G shock" watches that have the toughness, but look more subdued and conservative for regular people and "non" youth culture.
I'll probably snag one of the all black ones whenever they do another run and the price comes down a bit, but I still think the 5610 is the GOAT G-Shock.
Your comments on the relatively pared-back, clean look of this compared to all the other round G-Shocks is exactly why I want it. Great review! Now hopefully the price will drop down ...
I JUST received one of these and was hugely disappointed by the digital display which is almost not readable. I need a watch that I can see the countdown and / or seconds clearly at a glance. Sending back.

You need one with a positive display like the gray version. Or one of the bluetooth models with the positive displays. I have both.
