from what I've seen, the creators of this movie wanted to make a Jason origin/pov type movie but couldnt get the rights to it so they just went on with the movie but without his name

When I was a kid, I envisioned a Friday the 13th film in the perspective of Jason that has captivating and stunning shots of him killing and walking amongst the woods. This trailer is essentially a literal dream come true so I'm very excited to see this!

It's the pov that makes this so interesting. Outside of that, it's nothing new, but that alone leaves me highly interested.
But how do you create tension when you're the monster in the shadows? I'm curious mostly to see if they figured that out.
You create dread instead. We get to watch the killer stalk. That has me intrigued.
The POV isn't really new either, there's a horror/black comedy called Behind the Mask that does it. This looks good regardless.
A better horror story would be taking you to a restaurant. I already know you would be very indecisive

This is a good concept that probably been thought about a million times but everyone agreed it wouldnt be interesting to watch a guys back while he walks around for 90 minutes. Excited to see if they can pull it off and make it interesting the whole time.
The 1989 movie Elephant is also like this and is well worth the watch!

As I was a kid during the 80s, I was a HUGE fan living thru the slasher genre...Friday the 13th could have pulled thus off and it would've done EXTREMELY well, by the mid to the end of the 80s...85-89 we were basically rooting for Jason. HERES A FUN FACT to make you envious....in 1984 I was 9 , I actually talked my parents into taking me to see The Final Chapter Friday the 13th 4.....😂😂 TWICE!!!! Can you imagine?? In a packed theater. Final Chapter is and ALWAYS WILL BE the best Friday the 13th!!!!!!

This fills a hankering for an F13 movie. The only thing is we're not seeing how he was when he was alive. Since he was already dead, it seems like maybe he already did this before, or what killed him here is why he's going after them. Looks really good.

There was a script by Andrew Kevin Walker called Psycho Killer - that has the same approach (for most of the story) - makes me wonder if that “influenced” this flick. Love the cinematography.

I grew up in the 80s watching Friday the 13th and Halloween, what stood out in those movies was not just invincible and unstoppable evil guy but also the unique soundtrack for both movies, i wonder this one will be similar

I saw this movie yesterday in the Fribourg film festival. It is pretty amazing, cool concept, brilliant ending, possibly better than the entire friday the 13th franchise. Forget about Victor Crowley, this movie revisiting the slasher codes in is own and unique way. I really hope that they choose Chris Nash to Direct the next friday the 13th.
