@@av_kay5059 Movies cost a lot more to make, so they typically are modified to attract a larger audience. The original script of "Passengers" ended with the ship ejecting everyone who was still in hibernation. That was determined to be a Bad Idea for attracting moviegoers, so it was changed.
@@av_kay5059 cry about it. the movie is its own story. the manga already presents one reality. that's why comics from movie adaptations differ. for example "the boys" have one story in comics, another in cartoon, a third for the real-life show.
I will never understand why dour and sad endings are somehow considered "smarter" and "more artistic." When, unless you've done good setup, it's just depressing for the sake angst. Pass...
There was a time when it was novel and new, caught audience by surprise, and I remembered seeing comments from others who thought the same thing about good endings until everyone _started doing it_ and became cliché.
While I'm generally in favor of darker or at least more bittersweet endings for story's like this the whole time loop thing gives an actual in universe justification for everyone living happily ever after so it's okay
For once I prefer the good ending. I usually hate finding out that a good movie narrowly missed out on greatness by cutting a dark ending for a happy ever after.
In the end Tom cruise's cage contents with the omega's blood, just like it all started with him getting bleed on by an alpha. The omega has the ability to reset the day from the beginning, and so cage resets the whole day.

They made the right call, it’s a dumb Tom Cruise action movie with a fun premise. Theres no need to go all dark at the end. Just let the good guys win.
I think the ending’s perfect because it develops an arc for Cage more being more strategic, and the original ending renders his arc completely pointless.
Eh... I'm not sure the original ending would be pointless but the reward for his character development would have less of an emotional payoff. In other words, he stops being a gutless douchebag just to save the day...and then gets killed? If you identify at all with his character arc, which is the goal of most writer's intent, cages sacrifice would feel more hollow.
Everyone but Cruise did die at the end in the movie, but Tom Cruise dying triggered 1 more reset that brought everyone back at the last scene and sadly none of them even remember him after saving the entire world with him.
@@mentlincwell the girl will, I bet you he will sit down with her and explain everything that happened even that last kiss🤣🤣if the movie would’ve gone a lil longer they will probably show them happy together or something but again we will never know.
Sorry. I find the ending we saw is much more satisfying.
Yeah but still not the true ending from the Manga or LN

If it ended sadly like that I wouldn't rewatch it. The orig version with so many resets was exciting and exhausting enough. Good call Cruise
No I don't want everyone dead, it was already perfect
Yes we love the good ending cuz most people are not masochists.
Humans (or Murica) always winning is called delusional and unrealistic.
Tom Cruise, "My contract says I don't die."
absolute chad.
I agree the movie is much better with the ending it gave us
Thank you Tom

Killing the good guys is cliche. It's like an edgy lazy contrived trope.

A clichet its that no matter the odds, humans allways win🤨losing, like they did in the movie"life",wouldnt have been a cliche, u idiot!!🤦🙄
Personally, i would've liked humans to lose. Im pretty tired of humans allways wining no matter the odds😮💨

It's a one time sci-fi movie. Feel more complete with the ending we got, than what was planned
Tom I love you
Great movie. And fantastic ending
Cosmic horror at its best.
Tom Cruise, just like Jamie Foxx. They can't stand being a villain. They always have to save the day. Be the good guy.

Just like in the manga

There should be an alternate ending version out there available to watch!

That screenwriter wanted an even sadder ending than the book its based on. Luckily we got the good ending.
Please do tell, im a sucker for bleak endings...
Ending didn't make any sense in my opinion so it would have been great if they managed to kill the omega but sacrificed themselves
In the end Tom cruise's cage contents with the omega's blood, just like it all started with him getting bleed on by an alpha. The omega has the ability to reset the day from the beginning, and so cage resets the whole day.
After so many resets, to see them just fail doesn’t make for a good movie. More realistic sure, but annoying to watch.
Alpha omega bo4
