- I remember you, ooh
You're the one who made
My dreams come true
A few kisses ago
I remember you, ooh
You're the one who said
"I love you, too", yes, I do
Didn'tcha know?
I remember too
A distant bell and stars that fell
Like the rain out of the blue
Ooh, ooh, ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
When my life is through
And the Angels ask me to recall
The thrill of it all, then I will tell them
I remember you, ooh
I remember too
A distant bell and stars that fell
Just like the rain out of the blue
Ooh, ooh, ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
When my life is through
And the Angels ask me to recall
The thrill of it all, then I will tell them
I remember, tell them, I remember
Tell them, I remember you
Francis Edward Ifield (born 30 November 1937) is an Australian easy listening and country music singer who was born in England. He achieved considerable success in the early 1960s, especially in the UK Singles Chart, where he had four No. 1 hits in 1962 and 1963.
.
His first record in the UK was "Lucky Devil" (1960), which reached No. 22 in the UK charts. His next six records were less successful, but he finally broke through with "I Remember You", which topped the charts for seven weeks in 1962. Known for Ifield's falsetto and a slight yodel, it was the second-highest-selling single of that year in the UK and became the seventh million-selling single. "The legal fight between Megaupload and Universal Music Group keeps getting more and more... odd. After the court gave UMG basically a day to respond, the company filed its response and made a rather surprising point: that a deal with CZcams/Google lets it take down videos it has no copyright over. This seems odd, and lots of people are screaming about some crazy clause that lets UMG censor anyone's videos."

I had to find this song I remember hearing as a child 55 years ago. Heavy nostalgia.
Such beautiful music you had at that time. Now it's not bad, but this type of music gives a different feeling.
I think of my dog, a Golden Retriever, whose name was Barf, named after John Carrie's character in Space Balls, I used to sing this to him as he drew close to crossing the "Rainbow Bridge." I told Him I wouldn't forget him, and I haven't. He crossed it in 2005. Out of sight, but not out of my heart.
That made me cry......
You're making g this shit up.
I was 9 years old when I first heard this song on the radio. It had a strange effect on me, as if it were coming from another realm with such cosmic lyrics. I still feel the same strange otherworldly upliftment when I listen.
Yeah, me too. Like coming out of the sky. And lifts me out of my situation totally. It’s sad to remember long ago, but I still feel mysteriously happy when hear it.
@@rossriver75 I will tell you why I feel this way. After years of meditation, I have come to realize that on a deep soul level, I understand that this world is not our home; our true home is another very different place, and the words and music of this song trigger the memory of that place, and our beautiful, loving relationship with Spirit. I, too, feel mysteriously happy when I hear this song.
@@elizabethblane201 Yes! Not our true home. Although I confess to having mostly romantic images associated with this song. Memories and oh, so many missed opportunities with wonderful people.
But it’s an illusion. All just a test.
@@rossriver75 Yes, an illusion and a test.
Some memories don't fade with the passing of years!
Mary…. I Remember you - even after 37 years have passed…..
Simply wonderful version of a so-so song.
For some reason, each time I hear this song I can't stop getting up, dancing around, acting out the lyrics, and loudly singing along (albeit, off-key) with the song. And, after each time, I've felt refreshed and relaxed. Love it!
My boomer dad used to play this when I was a kid. In the 80s.
Great memories. One of my Mom's favorites.!!!
I love this song....
yeaaahhh haaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh, what a country western love song. hot dangit.
a wonderful song, sepcial the lyrics... beautiful. great images with it,. well done Ambriel.
This song just kills me. The instruments! The other players. The whole thing was truly emotional to 🤷 me. The thing is, I hadn't heard that song since forever. Somehow, I thought of when I was young and all of the 45s and 78s players on the 🎼 stereo. That was a long, long 📻 time 🕰 ago.
Always one of my favourites
When the cop opens the door to shed and see the girl tied up and screaming
That was the tied up girl's father who found her in the shed. (House of 1000 Corpses, for everyone else)
House of 1k Corpses baby
sure reminds me of the old days, such a great song.
the GOOD old days (:
I remember being in high School when this version came out. I believe I was 14. The first cut is the deepest.
Sandy: You broke my heart .... I never forgot ... I remember you ...
Great song and video dear Ambriel,
Happy days,much Love:)
Robert Frank Mannequin Challenge brought me here lol.
The scene when this music was playing on House of 1000 corpse scared the shit out of me as a kid

You know how much I love your videos Ambriel, they are always so gorgeous and filled with charm, and this one is not exceptional. I love your beautiful images edited so wonderful, and the song is awesome too, withstood the test of time. I can hear the emotion and passion on every one of these tones. Simply delicate and fabulous production! I enjoyed it very much. Thank you :)
***** - That you love my videos is a great honor for me. I know it is not easy to like a song like this because it is in another language and this song is very old. Thank you so much Aleks. You are the greatest and I mean that!!
♡ :D then I will tell them I remember you...! :D
i. remember u
Uncle Junior brought me here
"I Remember You" was side B on a Roy Orbison single
I like Slim Whitman a lot, but on this song I think Frank Ifield does a great job.
Frank will "own" this song forever, but Glen Campbell does a great cover...!!!
Who else is here because of "House of 1000 corpses"?
