Sam Witwer's already a legend for voicing Starkiller, the Emperor, the Son, and taking up the mantle of Darth Maul but this man deserves to lead his own movie or Disney+ show.

it was really great! Sam truly is master of the force (He even mind tricked Christian into seeing Freddie's wrong answer as correct!). I feel bad for Freddie, trivia is not his thing, but he was really great as an announcer before. Good luck to anyone taking out Sam one on one, that doesn't seem possible. Glad Force Bros won anyway, it was 2 vs 1, pretty much.

This was a great match. In terms of the mishap with Freddy's answer, everybody makes mistakes. If anything I think it might have made the match more entertaining because it went on longer. But I'm sure you guys will get a lock on the score keeping in the future. But this is a fantastic match regardless!

There are menacing undertones within his gracious acceptance of victory; I just think he recognizes his power but knows to keep it veiled by artificial humility. Not to mention that jaw. His jaw alone gives away his allegiance to the dark side.

Freddie was totally likeable. And okay, he knew less than Sam, of course. But he still did good. He still showed he knows the movies. And really, c'mon. 36:23 Sam was 100% correct with his frustration there. The 2 questions were ridiculously different in difficulty
But the whole point of the category is to choose from the pool of questions of varying difficulty and assign them to 1,3,5 pointers. You can get lucky and get easy question for 5 pts or get the hardest ones possible for all 1,3,5 pts. The category is fair albeit very very random (not only you choose your questions but also points). But it's not like both teams had prearranged questions, there were surely some killer ones which the Council could've as easily stumbled up on.
Also it's better they got the puppet question assigned to only a 1 pointer and not a 5 pointer, right?

The Last Jedi - "There were a lot of things in The Last Jedi I found compelling in a Rian Johnson filmmaker point of view. They just didn't fit into Star Wars. I don't think he did his Star Wars homework. The themes, what it's about, what the characters are about. But as a standalone film, if I don't know what the Jedi are or who Luke is or what he represents, I think there's some compelling things in there."
The Rise of Skywalker - "It's not as meaningful to me because I can't really reconcile that mythology with George's. But that's just my opinion, you know? My personal take is I think a Star Wars where the moral of the story is 'throw down your weapon, don't hurt your family, love or fear.' I think that's superior than a Star Wars where you win by melting the bad guy's face off. That's just my thing... I don't know that you can do a better ending than Return of the Jedi."
As someone who enjoys the sequel trilogy, I completely agree with his answers, The Last Jedi would probably have worked better as a stand alone story and The Rise of Skywalker was never going to compete with the perfect ending of Return of the Jedi.
Deathlygunn yeah honestly i feel the same way about The sequels and The Rebels Show. If they didn’t include characters from previous shows or movies then I probably would’ve enjoyed them more as standalone content
@@mgbomb11 I have to admit I really love Rebels, I think Kanan is probably my favourite (Canon) Jedi since Obi-Wan and Luke, Sabine grew interesting as the show went on, and legacy characters like Vader, Maul and Obi-Wan were handled surprisingly well :)
Deathlygunn I think it was a good show and I agree out of all the rebels characters Kanan was the most interesting. I just think they should not have brought clone wars characters into it and made another show just about Ashoka and Rex
Mason Ginn dave filoni had no idea they were going to get to get back to clone wars. He put them in rebels to let people know they wre still around and because he never got to finish their stories.
This was awesome. In a weird way, the scoring mishap almost adds to it all. Makes the result more contentious and leaves everyone wanting the rematch. There has to be a rematch.
Those Nancy boy questions the council were given evened it up.. Force Bros had the harder questions by far.

Kristian, THANK YOU for putting together this match! It was amazing from beginning to end. Witwer is the fucking man when it comes to SW movie knowledge.
It's too bad this has to be 'mired in controversy' but I think the Schmoedown is still a work-in-progress with trail and error here and there. Honestly, I think the Round 1 rules should be reinforced so that there is an exact time limit that each participant must put down their pens at the same time.
Please don't let this discourage you from having another Tag Team match for SW down the line. The Witwer-Napzok single match should be amazing but I don't see how Sam can be beat.

A year late perhaps, but fwiw, Sam Witwer has spoken out against Donald Trump's presidency.
So, Rebels are going to Jedha. Sam clearly knew that name from a storyline they've been given. Freddie even says: "Are we even allowed to say it?"
Steven Eamon didn't catch that but with Saw Gerrera being in the midseason premiere it's actually not that surprising.
Sam Witwer on the outside looks like the freakishly handsome jock that gets all the girls and who bullies and beats up nerds for knowing anything and everything about Star Wars. Yet in reality his Star Wars knowledge will embarrass most nerds who claim to live, eat and drink Star Wars. He is a walking contradiction that subverts every stereotype in the book.
