With the recent opening of Mad Apple at New York, New York in Las Vegas, I decided to take in all the current Vegas Cirque shows back-to-back and rank all of them! I've done my best to avoid spoilers for the shows but if you have any questions about any specific shows, please reach out! In addition, please feel free to post your OWN rankings in the comments below!
00:00 Intro
02:58 ONE
04:46 Mad Apple
06:37 O
08:55 Mystère
10:36 KÀ
12:09 Love
Very helpful review, thanks! I agree love is special.
Thank you so much for the amazing review. This really helps going to Vegas in two weeks. I have it narrowed down to my final two….and I was right.! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
amazing review and video quality! thank you for sharing your ranking!
Thanks for watching!
Thx for the ranking! Next march i‘m in Vegas and I want to visit O 😊
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy the show!
Awesome review! Seeing Love for the first time before it sunsets. RIP Mirage!
Thank you! I feel like if they announce it's going to leave the Mirage/Hard Rock at the end of 2023, I may just have to go back and watch it one last time!
Hard Rock has announced LOVE will be coming back when the Mirage turns into Hard Rock 😁
I'd like to see a Prince Cirque show. Such great music.
A Prince show would be great! Years ago there was also an Elvis show, but I never had the opportunity to see it!
Seen all of them and One and Love are my favorite!!!!
I fell asleep through One and found Ku way better
Ka
thanks so much for the opinions Corey! I will visit Vegas next Fal, and have decided to go for Love and Ka! will post my thoughts when I have seen both!
You'll love KA. I've seen my share of cirque du soleil shows and there's nothing like it. At least in Vegas. It's simply breathtaking from start to finish.
Have fun! Every one of the shows in Vegas are incredible and you won't be disappointed no matter which shows you take in! Can't wait to hear what you think!
Nice video Corey. Big fan of these shows too. I've only seen Mystere and Ka but they were both amazing. I'm a big Beatles fan so I think Love will be next!
Thanks Joe! They're honestly all so good. I was very lucky to be able to see all 6 while I was there in Vegas and it was pretty difficult to rank them. But I make time to see Love every single time I'm in Vegas!
Love was one of the worst shows to me. I guess when they started adding more elements to the show it might of changed things. But I just remember there were no acrobatics and just people running around dancing...
@DUNGSTA beatles by cirque definitely has acrobatics. I saw one of the guys fall from a great height & sprain an ankle, so definitely Not just dancing
the opening is so dramatic, very fun
Haha thank you!
Hi Vegas local here 🌵 this is a great video and all of these are awesome picks. My two favorite shows here if you see nothing else would be MJ ONE and The Beatles LOVE
Thanks Rohn!!! They’re both fantastic shows. I should be returning to Vegas in a few months myself and might be checking some of these shows all over again!
Thank you for the review. Very informative. Helped us to make a choice. Ps, your last name is typical Dutch!
Glad it was helpful! And yes, my father is originally from The Netherlands!
Just got back from O what a show
I totally agree with your number one choice, Love by the Beatles is incredible, we go to Las Vegas every October and we never miss seeing it when we go, we sit in the front row and we are as equally blown away by the show every time we see it. My last choice however would be Ka. I was amazed by the stage, but I can’t get past the fact that a woman fell to her death from the top of it during one of the performances
The first time I saw Ka (back in 2012) I went away thinking it was "ok"... it's definitely a show I appreciated much more on second viewing (perhaps because I had different expectations the second time around). The accident happened after I first saw the show and I was definitely thinking about it when I saw the show a second time. :( So tragic.
Michael Jackson has an actual story unfolding. So does KA (plus two massive moving stages).
I’d rate both those better than the Beatles (which is still better than the other boring cirque shows).
As far as KA... sad for sure that such a tragedy happened but its irrelevant to the quality of the show itself.
We loved ABSYNTH AT CEASARS. GREAT FUN
The
Absinthe is a fun show! I saw it about 12 years ago so I don’t remember too much about it, but I do remember having a good time!
I'm coming to Vegas in May 2023. Already got my tickets for MJ One. Going to check out the other shows.
Have an amazing time!
@@CVDL thanks and I will 😁
Tracy, check out Mad Apple, O, Ka, and Mystere
How was the MJ One Show? I'll be taking my mom to Vegas in 2 wks and thinking about checking out that show as my mom and I are a big fan of his music.
@priscillastephens3978 it's a great show. The cast is really talented. It's worth going to see.
I just watched a youtube video titled '5 worst shows in las vegas' and Ka was listed so it's interesting that you rated it so highly. I've seen Mystere and loved it.
The first time I saw Ka (back in 2012) I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the second time I saw it. I think seeing all the shows so close together over the course of several days, I was able to appreciate some of the unique things the show did (such as have a story and the stage itself) that helped set it apart for me. But I would definitely encourage you to read/watch as many reviews and opinions as possible before deciding which ones to check out!
@@CVDL❤
yea Ka is the top two show in vegas. that list you saw was a misstep. this list is solid. i would actually switch KA to #1 and Love to #2
Michael Jackson One premiered in 2013
Thanks for the thoughts, as you said everyone has their own preferences, we saw Mystere first and then Love on our next trip and my wife and I loved them both but thought Mystere was better. Looking forward to our next trip trying to decide between O and Ka. Maybe both who knows 🤷 👍
I vote for both! Lol
@@WilliamsPinchwe saw O in April and just watched Ka a couple weeks ago, all the shows are great, still like Mystere the best followed by Ka and O a close one for 2nd. We also saw Blue Man Group and myself as a drummer absolutely loved it. Can't really go wrong with any of them.
just go watch all of them, thats what I did.
@@williamblackledge1406 I agree.. just enjoy life and create memories. we all worried about trying to save time and money. Time doesn't rewind and money goes around.
Curious if you know anything about the stageside seats for Mad Apple? The stageside seats are a great price but I wasn't sure if you miss any of the action being so close?
I'm heading to Vegas in January and thinking about hitting both Mad Apple and Love. I saw Mystere a few years ago and absolutely loved it! Great video, thanks for sharing your thoughts (:
I think it would be a neat atmosphere because you're much closer to some of the action, but they ARE behind the main performers (especially the comedians would be much further out on the stage interacting with the audience). Hopefully someone who has sat in those seats can comment about what their experience was! Either way, I think you'll enjoy the show a TON. I want to go back an see it again! And thank you!
@@CVDL Thanks so much for your response, it's so helpful!
Did u do it?
Thoughts?
Would absolutely recommend trying to get seats closest to the front row of the upper deck, perfect view of the entire stage as well as perfect views of the aerial performances.
This video was pretty informative and helpful in deciding which show to go to during my Vegas trip in April 2023. All of them look good, especially MJ ONE, Love, Ka, and O, although I have not yet been to any of those shows during the times I've stayed in Vegas. Now it's going to be a tough choice for me.
Glad it was helpful! Let me know what you end up deciding to see! I don't think you'll be disappointed no matter what you attend!
I have seen Ka and One on this list and honestly I would rank one before Ka both phenomenal shows. You gave me hope for Mad Apple, the general reviews turned me off. I’m willing to give it more of a chance now.
Ranking is so hard... there are definitely aspects of both that I really like! When I first saw Ka, it was around the time One had opened and I preferred One to Ka myself. Seeing them again, I preferred Ka more than One... but both still great shows as you said!
i think LOVE opened in 2006 (not 2004) but i agree, LOVE is my favorite as well ....and i also have seen EVERY Cirque show in Vegas.
I aaw wintuk nyc years ago out of this world
KĀ and MJ One are the best Cirque shows on the strip! WT heck!
Beatles love is great. I saw mystere and honestly it sucked.
I’ve seen Ka, O, and Mystere so far, and seeing Love very soon! I’m curious to know, how would you rank all of the cirque shows you’ve seen including the traveling ones?
Which is better Ka or O
@@Generallyannoyed2024 respect your opinion, but I liked Ka. O I felt like they just splashed like a baby playing with water just to create an effect. Ka on the other hand, that was a incredible stage production. Then again I recommend every one to watch them all, but walk in their with a positive vibes not one that lost their money on a penny slot machine.
If we are going with 2 kiddos, which one would you recommend the love or the mystere?
I think Mystere is the better show for families (and there will be many more kids in the audience for Mystere than there will be for Love)!
Have you been to Awakening at the Wynn? If so, where on this list would you put it?
I haven't yet! It opened a few months after I filmed this and then re-opened again just a couple of weeks ago, so it's definitely on my "must-watch" list for the next time I'm in Vegas (hopefully soon!)
Okay
The name of the things on the
Carousel are the Comets !!!
Was looking at booking seats for Love. Appears seats encircle the stage. Does it matter what side of the stage you are on?
All of the seats are quite good! You get a different perspective of the stage depending on where you sit, but all of the action is designed to be visible from all angles. So no need to worry about where you're sitting!
@@CVDL Thanks a bunch for the great video, and response to the question. Most helpful.
Going to Vegas for the 4th of July 2024 with a couple friends. Looking for shows to attend. So far I wanna see One
This video was filmed on July 3, 2022! You'l have a great time!
OMG
Love is by far the best show in Vegas imo
Michael Jackson has an actual story unfolding. So does KA (plus two massive moving stages).
I’d rate both those better than the Beatles (which is still better than the other boring cirque shows).
*worst
Ka would’ve been my 6 & one my 2
I've seen 4. I rank them in this order:
O
Love
Mystere
One
All great choices!
Ka is the best, but sit as close as you can to the stage.
Will I still enjoy Love if I don’t really know the beatles? I don’t want to be stuck in a sing a long.
Not knowing the Beatles shouldn’t be an issue and you may fall in love with their songs if you do! However if you didn’t LIKE the Beatles then I would definitely recommend you check out another one of the Cirque shows!
I would have put love and zumanity 1 and 2. I'm sad zumanity was canceled because I thought it was a very solid show, extremely funny. Maybe I'm weird but Ka didn't move me much, maybe because I was in bad seats.
Mad Apple I just saw a few days ago, went in wanting to hate it almost because it replaced zumanity but I really liked it.
I have similar feelings about Zumanity! I didn't expect to like it when I saw it and loved it... and then had low expectations for Mad Apple but it was fantastic.
I liked Ka a lot better the second time I saw it then the first time. I actually thought Ka might rank last on my list going in, but I really enjoyed it this time around.
Mad Apple looks like street performers that I can see any day in vegas (often free). Not impressed. Also repetitive with the wheel of death which I’ve seen in Ka and Mystere many times (and much better orchestration/ story)
Does it matter where you sit with KA? My wife and I are going to Vegas the first time and that one seems to be the one I would like the most.
I think most people would recommend sitting in the middle of the front section of seats. I sat in the front row and I loved it though there was some action during the pre show that was occurring behind me that I had to turn around to watch. However I generally feel every time I see a show that my first thought is that nearly every seat would have been a good choice!
Yes front row left side.
I just left Vegas and saw Ka for the first time ever. I sat in Row H seats 15/16. My spouse and I loved it.
I highly reccomend sitting around that area and get an aisle seat! The immersion will be amplified greatly.
Seen KA twice, I definitely would not recommend the first few rows. As Corey said, you miss a bit of the action on the sides and back. Also because the front stage is higher up, I found my neck was quite sore by the end of it.
Good review, Corey! I've seen most of them, but I actually preferred O and Ka the best.
@@bwong84 Thanks Chip! It's VERY difficult to pick a favourite show... it's not like any of them are bad!
Now, did you see the Michael Jackson immortal world tour by Cirque du Soleil and what were your thoughts on that show? I'm a little on the fence to see ONE because I feel it would be just a repeat of the touring show. But, like yourself, I too try to see EVERY cirque show that I can and will probably end up one day seeing "ONE"
I didn't get a chance to see the Immortal World Tour! I believe they were pretty different but trying to find comparisons online haven't been super helpful. If you do find yourself in Vegas - and you enjoyed Immortal World Tour - I think you'd love One!
Love premiered in 2006 not 2004
Good catch!
Make sure you get the year right next time
I've 4 of these shows, and I would rank Love much lower. Great music and dance, but low on daredevilry, and hardly any clowning. I would put Ka, and Mystere above Love.
i agree for the most part but i would put "O" higher as you cant see anythign like that anywhere else.
Back when Le Rêve was the Wynn, I actually preferred Le Rêve to O (similar concept but much more intimate stage). However, there is a novelty to O that is hard to replicate anywhere else in the world!
@@CVDL only one i havent seen is mad apple. , havent been down sense january. I saw a MJ show in Toronto and it looks to have been the better version
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mystere, KA, Love, O, One and Mad Apple
I agree but since your a beetles fan go for it. MJ is better thats just because I grew up to the king of pop music. So It's pretty much your liking, but I would MJ and Love 2nd place and Ka number one.
I appreciate your video but I have to disagree with you lol. Ive seen all the shows in vegas ive seen O 12 times. From 1990 until 2223 and IMO O is definitely the best Circ resident show. Beatles is boring imo. Sorry just my opinion
Algeria is the best traveling show imo.
Algeria is fantastic! And I definitely get that the rankings are totally subjective and based on personal context as well (Love being my first show plays big into that). O is still incredibly theatrical and I still find myself trying to go every time I'm back in Vegas myself!
I think O was boring because it has no storyline
KA is terrible... it's boring!
O was boring. Mystere is number one
@@georgec8210 not boring you’re just either too young or too old
@@georgec8210 mystere was weird with the crying baby. I thought it sucked.
I'm debating on what to go see. Ka looks good but I've seen several people say that it's boring and the trailers for Mystere keep showing a fat guy dressed as a creepy baby and that turns me off instantly. I might actually just avoid the Cirque shows altogether.
Love is definately not the best one to see. I've seen all of them and Love is the worst one out of all of them for me, its so boring compare to the others. I asked multiple people who seen Love as well and they said the same thing so these reviews are weird. This is why Love tickets go on sale all the time but you never seen O or One goes on sale. One or O has the best production and entertainment value and if you could only see one, i would pick either of these first.
