Absolutely! I would say needing to carry cash is probably the only downside at resorts for that reason, but it’s a worthwhile trade off at a place like this where the service was just so good.

Our room was shared with only the room next door. There are also swim outs at this resort where you share with multiple neighbours - which is usually how I’ve seen it at other resorts, so sharing with only one other neighbour is actually quite nice!

Unfortunately the services at the Spa are additional. We received access to the water section with our purchase of the Neck/Shoulder/Back massage which was $230USD each (though we received a $40USD voucher for spa services at checkin bringing the price down to $190USD each for a 50 minute massage).

I booked it through WestJet Vacations. For me here in Canada it was the cheapest option that included the flight and resort itself.

You're absolutely right, tipping is important! On our trip, we budgeted around $25 a day for gratuities (drinks, restaurants, housekeeping, etc.). Tipping customs vary, but coming from Canada we're very used to it and it makes such a difference for people who work at these hotels. The staff were so good and attentive everywhere we went that we wanted to show our appreciation as much as we could!

I hope you have a great trip! The trip from the airport to the resort was about 45 minutes. We had arranged for a private transfer with Nexus in advance, and it was extremely painless (walked out of the airport and found the Nexus team who took us to the transfer vehicle). You can also arranged for a MUCH cheaper shared transfer, though I've done that in the past and had to wait 90 minutes at the airport for another party to join us before we could leave so I wanted to avoid that to be able to start the vacation as quickly as possible.

@@CVDL Thanks for that info, we always use a private transfer for the exact reason you stated. We can start our vacation sooner and don’t have to wait around for other people to arrive before we can leave on shared transportation.

@@lucexcellent22 There is a gift shop on site that sells Cigars and there is also Uvero Alto Plaza which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel that sells Cigars.

It sprinkled a bit most days but only had heavy rain one day. I believe May is the rainy season in Punta Cana but I believe the rain comes in short bursts and then is sunny otherwise, like it was on my trip.

I didn't film it, but the day that it was pouring rain I spent an hour alone in the hot tub (while everyone else had retreated to cover or their rooms) and it was one of my favorite memories from the trip!

Algeria is fantastic! And I definitely get that the rankings are totally subjective and based on personal context as well (Love being my first show plays big into that). O is still incredibly theatrical and I still find myself trying to go every time I'm back in Vegas myself!

@@CVDL thanks! I do have a question tho. It’s my first time doing a solo trip overseas. How do you get in touch with the group/tour manager while you’re abroad? Did you have to get a different phone plan to do so?

@@andreadimayuga you won’t typically need to get in touch with your trip manager unless in the case of an emergency. You’ll be provided with pick up and drop off times and as long as you’re always where you need to be you should be fine! I spent three months without a plan in Europe and didn’t have any issues, but if I did I would have just ducked into a place with WiFi like a Starbucks, McDonalds, hotel, etc… or would hopefully been with someone who did have a plan. You definitely CAN get a plan for while you’re there (often purchased at the airport before you leave) but it’s not required at all!

I really loved this trip! There was less partying that Europe and the partying was different. We usually were more remote and so we typically stuck with our contiki group (instead of going out to clubs or bars). I think it was a good mix (for me personally) and would highly recommend it if you're looking for a more balanced trip when it comes to partying/history/relaxation!

I don't think it does anymore! I think it stopped working at the start of 2023 :(

That's always a tough one, but Scandinavia was one of the best trips for sure so you're in for a treat!
