Mary Tyler Moore lost her son at 27 years old, as a kid I remember being so impressed with her public courage and integrity. I get the same sincere vibe from Regina King, it's hard to put it into words but she manages to do so. Great actresses that give so much. Wishing Ms.King continued strength and eyes to the future, with her son always in her heart.

I lost my firstborn son in 2010 to a reckless driver. From time to time, as a father, I still cry for my son. A parent's heart never heals from your child's death. We just learn to go on daily. 💕☹️

They may be gone, but that bond is never broken. We remember the joys, and it makes it hard to let go. As if we are making room for someone else to fill that space. The good thing about the heart is it expands. You can love so many, yet never replace anyone when they're gone. Our purpose is to touch one another. So when we have, we've done our jobs.

No matter what kind of difficult situation one may find oneself in, some opening, some opportunity to fight one’s way out, can always be found. What’s most important is to hold fast to hope, to face the future with courage.

Best way to look at this tragedy. It was his choice and to respect that no matter how hard is still the best way to respect him. I lost someone who took his life at 23. He was a young black man who had carried a lot of weight from his childhood. Even though he was ready to graduate college and help other children, I never imagined he would take his life. I was mad at him because I looked up to him. After time I realized that his pain was just too heavy for any of us to understand. I’m no longer mad but I do talk to him. I just got thru cancer and thru every low point there was also a rainbow 🌈 and that reminds me why you keep going and if you can weather the storm you will see rainbows

Grief is a long process. Losing someone does indeed change you. Losing my mom 5 years ago, I still struggle to feel what I was like 6 years ago. Never been the same. You still have your moments with grief so you still have to deal with it for a moment and then you pick up the pieces to go back to living
REGINA GOD BLESS U. My husband and I walk on eggshells everyday and I’m hurt. My son is an amazing human being only 26 Yrs old and is struggling since he was 12 with depression. Yet nobody would know He is such a beautiful soul and still manages to work get therapy advocate for his mental health. But tells us he struggles. Our only child It’s hard. Listening to her say what she is saying. It is hard to hear. we are there for him always and scary to think he gives up I have always liked her in movies. But now I really respect her.

I lost my mom in 2022 to Cancer on Mother’s Day and when she passed away a piece of me left with her. When Regina King said “grief is a journey and it’s love that has no place to go “. I can truly resonate with that. Everyday is a struggle but you learn to live with it. Prayers for continued healing, peace and understanding for her and all those who have lost loved ones near and dear to their heart.🙏🏽
her finger on her pulse while speaking of her son...and her using of the words "his choice" is eye opening. One the finger to ground herself while speaking is a mindfulness practice. Understanding what he was dealing with that only she knows and being able to see the pain being too much for him and that it wasn't selfish but it was his choice. No amount of speculating will change it. May he be at peace free from the pain he felt here.

I am happy that she was honest that they were struggling with this for a while. I thought he just had a sudden break. Very sorry for her loss but respect her for telling us about their journey. She did all that she could do and she has nothing to be ashamed of. May God continue to bless and keep her.

I used to live in Glendale Ca. At the Galleria Mall her and her son zipped right by me, I think that was in 2003? I've have always had a crazy crush on her growing up in the 80s when she was on 227. Very beautiful woman, that's doing great things in Hollywood and for the world. But losing a child? I couldn't imagine that level of pain, stay strong and let God lead you through it.

I am not a mother and have no experience in carrying, birthing and raising a child. However, I am certain that the loss of a child is a wound that can never be fully healed. I do hope and pray that she is surrounded by so much love, joy and happiness. Perhaps that can lessen the pain that the heart feels. ❤❤❤
