This time, we're covering the MSMC.
Unlocked at level 28, this fully automatic SMG is a new addition to the series.
The MSMC, or Modern Sub Machine Carbine, is also the first modern Indian weapon seen in Call of Duty.
It was developed by the Armament Research and Development Establishment, based in Pune.
Intended as a lightweight alternative to the INSAS assault rifle, the MSMC is designed for roles demanding a compact weapon, such as vehicle crews and security forces.
The weapon fires a specially-designed cartridge, the 5.56×30 millimetre MINSAS round: a scaled-back assault rifle cartridge, with traits ballistically similar to a Personal Defence Weapon.
In-game, the MSMC is the highest damage SMG on offer - edging out even the PDW-57, although they will kill with the same number of shots within their effective range.
The MSMC's range is greater, however - and even within each weapon's 3-hit kill zone, the MSMC has a slight edge against injured opponents and through thin cover.
At a middle range, the MSMC comes out on top more often - and while damage drop-off is relatively quick, you'll find yourself outperforming most other SMGs at the fringe of your effective range.
Penetration ability is low, however - as with most of the SMGs, so thin cover may stymie your weapon's effectiveness.
Rate of fire is moderate, on par with the PDW - but lacking compared to the SMG category as a whole.
Rapid fire takes your fire rate to a more respectable 1136 rounds per minute, but this comes at the cost of much of the MSMC's range - a key attribute, which may negatively affect your performance.
Hipfire spread is as good as any other SMG, but the lower rate of fire does mean it's perhaps more critical to accurately direct your shots with the MSMC, to better take advantage of the weapon's intrinsic stopping power.
Recoil is high - the MSMC both hits hard and kicks like a mule, which will greatly limit your effectiveness at a longer range.
Up close, such handling traits aren't an issue, however - it's relatively easy to remain on target as long as you stick to engagements within your effective range.
Aim time is quick, at the SMG default of 200 milliseconds.
Interestingly, the MSMC's base movement speed is better than average - with a 1.3 percent advantage over other SMGs, at 101.3 percent of the base speed.
This benefit is counter to the PDW's capacity advantage: while it might not have the largest magazine, the MSMC tops out in terms of damage and manoeuvrability.
Magazine capacity is 30 rounds: not bad by any measure - especially given the slower rate of consumption - but otherwise unspectacular.
Extended clip will take this capacity to 40 rounds.
Reloads are relatively quick, at 2.10 seconds for a tactical reload. Generally quick enough for most scenarios, although with an aggressive build being caught dry can spell your demise within milliseconds.
The MSMC is the most powerful SMG on offer in Black Ops 2, and in addition boasts a higher-than usual mobility.
Paired with the favourable handling traits of an SMG, it's a potent close quarter weapon, capable of quickly tearing through enemies within its effective range.
Of course, outside of a short range the MSMC quickly starts to lose its edge, with the rapid damage drop and heavy recoil conspiring to limit your effectiveness.
It's during such mid-ranged encounters that assault rifles will have a distinct advantage, and over longer distances it may even be wiser to flee and avoid conflict altogether.
Still, it is easier to force engagements at a close range than it is to hold an enemy at an arm's reach, so as long as you remain aware of the MSMC's shortcomings it remains a relatively easy weapon to use.
It is much like the PDW-57, with an edge in damage and mobility over the PDW's capacity - both of these traits useful when it comes to winning gunfights.
This Indian weapon's strength will curry favour with those who use it: and if you're having trouble in the heat of battle, equip the MSMC...
...and spice up your game.

This weapon never came out of his prototype phase because our NSG (counter terrorists unit) favoured MP7 and P90 instead of home grown MSMC as a close quarters Submachine gun.

First time any game has used a pure indigenous weapon developed by the Indian DRDO. MSMC stands for Medium Sub-Machine Carbine hence is not to be mistaken as an smg. It uses a variant of 5.56 ammo which is used in SBRs and full AR capable PDWs. Though still not deployed and in prototype phase,it just might be the smallest Carbine ever built.

"Machine carbine" is a British term for "submachine gun."
Given the heavy British influence on the organization and terminology the Indian military uses, I'd consider it a submachine gun.

His voice makes the game sound so exhilarating, full of compact action. Watching the video's gameplay shows the monstrous power of the weapon which makes you want to get on and use it. Thinking you'll be a beastly bada**. But in reality, you just die 7 times before you get a kill.

The MSMC is literally a better version of the Uzi in BO1.
But it's an Indian weapon and the Uzi is an Israeli gun
The two guns play very differently. High ROF and low damage vs moderate ROF and moderate damage. The only similarity between the two is the high recoil
More like the AK74U in BO1 because of the high damage and rate of fire.

The recoil is high yeah, but if you know how to use it, like get closer to your target, and avoid unecessary sprint, this weapon is god

No this gun currently is in its prototype phase because our security forces favoured other weapons like MP5, Mp7 and P90 instead of home grown MSMC

Whereas Paramilitary forces like CRPF ordered less number of MSMC( Indian name is JVPC) first and now ordered 10,000 JVPC. You check out 'Unknowncommando' on Twitter. msmc does NOT have high recoil at all , simply pull down the analog stick and you will land 95% of your shots at medium/medium-long range

In call of duty mobile, the MSMC recoil is average with INSANELY HIGH RECOIL in stock config
While with a forgrip it lowers by 21.5% or 14.7%
The TTK time is average (a lil faster than the HG40 and PDW 57)
In real life MSMC recoil is extremely low.

My class for the MSMC.... Quite random....
For some reason in CoD Mobile, the RoF of this was too high (like around 900 rpm) as well as the recoil was a bit more high
Edit: i found out that the MSMC in CoDM has the Rapid Fire locked by default, so it went from 750 to 1.1k rpm
MSMC is an amazing weapon in hardcore. This is a personal opinion based on my rushing play-style but you cant argue with the damage output in that mode, and this class setup made it even better. Continue the work for this and all the Cods Stu. :)

Am I the only person which thinks FMJ is absolutely useless? When I put FMJ on an AR, Sniper or SMG, it seems to make my wall penatration even worse. Wallbanging is even more difficult when I put on FMJ so basically its a waste of a point for absolutely nothing. And it apparently, according to in-game stats 'increases the damage' which is absolute BS and it doesn't help wall penatration at all.

Funny how almost every player i’ve seen use this gun, overly estimated their skill. they were quick to make hackusations.
This video helped me alot i changed my class to everything it says in the video and im getting good kills and nearly every match im on top of the lobby leaderboard
...and yet it's still amazing.
Best MSMC class / corrections to ahoys class:
-MSMC-
Attatchments: Adjustable Stock / Ext clip. You might ask... why the Stock attatchment out of all the others? because the msmc has a 1.3% movement speed bonus. if you add stock to it you're taking advantage of that. btw stock makes you walk faster or strafe faster when you're in ADS mode. Ext clip because we want to counter the MSMC's weakness - Lowest magazine size compared to all smgs. So stock to make one of the msmc's strengths stronger and the other (ext clip) to counter one of it's weaknesses. fast mags are fine but you won't really need them since the msmc reloads fast .
Perk 1: Lightweight - taking advantage of the 1.3% movement and the stock.
Perk 2: Toughness and Scavenger - the toughness perk is a must if you want to win gun fights. Scavenger is to replenish the lethals, tacticals, and amo. Since the msmc has a low magazine size.
Perk 3: Awareness if you have a headset to hear footsteps so then when you have a feeling someone is walking through that "door" you ADS and walk at the same time, taking advantage of stock and lightweight. .
Lethal: Any but axes. I use the sticky and the only time i throw a sticky is when an enemy is too far away from the gun. by too far i mean if you try to attack him you'll lose because the gun has too much recoil, at those times i throw the sticky. it is used for long range to counter the msmc's weakness, or should I say the smg's weaknesses (Long range). Grenades are my second choice. C4's are great too but they can only be used for short range, those are the times where the MSMC takes place, but they can be used to destroy the campers in a corner.
Tacticle: EMP, Concussion, Flash-bang. If you use tacticle mask and sticky, then it's the concussion since you can stop the movement and use the sticky in close gun fights too. and it's annoying when you don't have tac mask and your own concussion gets you killed. however, flashbang is not a bad idea, it's rare to flash yourself so flashing is also good. EMP's are good to clear out rooms from betties, shock charges, and those kind of stuff. DONT USE: Blackhat (only good with engineer, blind eye and cold blooded combined)
Wild Card(s): Perk 2 Greed. You want to get back those lethals and tacticals every time you throw them, so the other perk 2 is scavenger.

You don't need Scavenger if you're not running equipment. You can easily find another MSMC on the ground and just steal that gun's bullets.
4 years late but msmc quickdraw stock long barrel with lightweight toughness dexterity and extreme conditioning makes for an awesome team deathmatch class

In real msmc have very high rate of fire and can penetrate 3.5mm steel which most of the smg cant. It have range of 200 meters.

Humza Khan Very true. It also fits my play style perfect. I am an aggressive player but I like to stay back a bit when I am highly threatened. Like when lots of players are spawning where I am on domination/ground war.
Using an aggressive strategy like your's combined with staying back and ducking behind cover to reload can down several enemies in a short period of time, an extremely good strategy for closed off maps, like NukeTown.

If you like NukeTown, I'll suggest a Remington 870 with long barrel. Pair this with an SMG, AR, or LMG of choice, and it's a killer!

i choose to use the MSMC as a high mobility area denial weapon and there seems to be a man with the golden voice for each game series like we hav xbox ahoy for call of duty, link the 1st for RPG games such as fallout borderlands and the elder scrolls, etc

It does. it may not seem like it because the recoil reduction is worked out as a percentage, this means that on the lower recoil weapons the effect will be barely noticeable but when on a high recoil weapon like the SCAR-H you can really feel the difference.
