It all depends on the team and the manager. If it works well for a team then good for them. A team has to have a lot of stamina for this. I don't like 4-4-2 but when atletico plays it. I just love it.

Needs a lot of intensity and teamwork but it can be beautifully executed. Failing in one of those two will lead you into the temptation of dropping one of the forwards down to a 4-1-4-1 formation while one f the center midfielders become a defensive midfielder.
