nailed it haha I honestly thought after long live then in our wake they might take turns on the sound but i guess I was wrong ha worked out better in the end I dont think Atreyu would ever have put out a song this heavy and it's so damn good.
@@xmenwolverineXFacts. "In Our Wake" felt like it has less and less Alex. I thought that he was pushed out by Brandon and it felt so obvious.
@@catsandalcohol99 Atreyu went the "Alexisonfire" and "Blink 182" way. Some PR bullshitter said to Saller "you know, atreyu would be nothing without you!!" annnnnd he believed it.

I’m sorry to say this but Atreyu died when Alex left the band. This song represents what Atreyu was supposed to evolve into but unfortunately they went a different route.
Totally agree 👍 It sounds more like old school Atreyu than Atreyu sounds themselves after Alex left. Future is bright if Dead Icarus continue that way

He stayed loyal to the genre and made an entirely better band. Nothing but respect for this band.
It’s very clear who was the writing force behind classic Atreyu. Glad we got Alex back making music, metalcore has been missing his voice.
Atreyu was the first metalcore band I got into at the age of 13, Im 30 now. When Alex left, I knew my time with Atreyu was done. I haven't looked back. This single brought a smile to my face, gives us more Alex 🤘

I was in grade 6 i think, my cousin lent me all his atreyu cds when i went to a pow wow on Manitoulin island, the whole way there , during and back! I listened to atreyu! Such a good memory for me! ❤️ Love your music alex! Even your comic book page and art page!

This is my journey with atreyu man. Absolute favorite band for almost 20 years, and Alex was the heart and soul of atreyu. Hearing new stuff from him brought me back and I love it

I was 12 when Suicide Notes & Butterfly Kisses released and graced my ears, hearing those unique mid-high growls was a punch of nostalgia that made me so happy. I love the familiarity that Alex wove into this for us while spreading his wings to do what he was kept from doing for so long ♥️

Atreyu is stronger then ever. Not dead. Brandon is now doing lead vocals. Can't wait to hear dead Icarus. Hope we get an atreyu collab with dead Icarus because it would feel like an atreyu song in the style of the older stuff

This song here brings back the old vibe I was missing with the latest Atreyu releases. So yeah...for me Atreyu is dead...even though the old stuff still kicks ass

It would definitely bring back the old atreyu sound and it would feel like an old atreyu song just like this one feels like the old atreyu. I had a feeling that it had the Enterprise Earth guitar player in it because of the double drop b in the breakdown and solo because it reminded me of Enterprise Earth when I heard it. This is technically a Deathcore collab since he did the guitar work and being part of dead Icarus as a whole. I already know Dead Icarus is going to be another one of the most heaviest bands ever

Oooooo this sounds just like OG Atreyu, I always suspected Alex was at the helm of writing (music and lyrics) for the band. He’s always been the heart and soul of Atreyu. This is the exact music I was waiting for 🤘🤘🤘 Ex band-mates as skeletons in the video is not lost on me. We were beside ourselves with grief and couldn’t believe our eye either, Alex!!! They betrayed their fans when they betrayed their best friend. Fuck em, so happy to have some real music again. Never give up!
