Where does the time go? Not just time, but hanging over the cabinet for hours on end can be back breaking. It's all going to be worth it in the end. Looks fantastic.

Believe it or don’t: Because I know the _least_ about boards & wiring, this was awesome to take in. The auxiliary power was a great move. 👌
And you weren’t kiddin about knowin where ALL your tools & screws are! 😮‍💨 EVERY time I see you reach into a drawer in all these vids, I don’t think I’ve seen you shut one for being the _wrong_ one.
You’ve got your program SQUARED - AWAY! 🤘👍😃

Wow. So many more hours for the modded one. Like you said, you can't really tell at a casual glance, but that is just a testament to how well you wired everything and how cleanly it was done. Most modded machines are a rats nest of stray wiring and alligator clips. LOL Great work, again!

I really like where you put the shaker motor . And how you put the wood in between the shelf to support and help the vibrations go through the cabinet

Thanks. I really like it when people notice the most minor details. It lets me know we are of a similar mindset.

Bear w me-this is a tale I never share in public. And I’ll delete it in a couple days. 🤔
Now, I ain’t _proud_ of this, and any operators are gonna wanna stove the 11-year-old me’s head in, BUT …
Tryna pry some quarters outta my mom back in the early ‘80s wasn’t happenin. The big arcade boom exploding around me & I ain’t got enough ‘quags’ (as we called em). I heard a rumor in 6th grade that you could rig a game (IF the coin-return flap was broken/missing) by flippin a penny up the return slot on the right side of it.
I tested this the first time at the Sherman Oaks Galleria (where Fast Times interiors were shot 😄) on a Defender game w a missing flap. Took me a long time to balance that penny on my middle finger, but when I got enough pressure on it towards me, I snapped it upwards and GOT A CREDIT! 👀😯
Many a you are my age, and can you IMAGINE what a life-changing moment that was for a kid back then?? It was like discovering the cure for cancer!
I taught ONE FRIEND how to do it, and from that weekend on, we’d spend entire Saturdays at Castle Golf w pockets bulging w pennies & as silly as this all is/sounds, I truly felt like I had a skeleton key to half the games & pins in the wild. 😮‍💨 Ahhhh, the one time the sun shone on THIS dog’s ass as a kid. 🤷‍♂️
(I can still do it, too 😅-I’ll be damned if Charles Cheese is gonna give my kid THREE TOKENS for a DOLLAR! 😖) He was launching pigs into the sky for a penny a throw 7 yrs ago. Those pricks.
The TZ coin door brought it all flooding back to my mind.
