I'm no gonna lie, the pv made me laugh so hard
honestly, considering the lyrics, having teto’s face just pasted over the original una pv feels surprisingly fitting.
Okay but this song is scarily relatable.
I heavily despise large trends, especially when it becomes part of people's personalities. Because of this, I sometimes praise myself for not getting dragged into the sad and backwards society we have today. Being different from everyone else makes them more unnoticable because they aren't an internet carbon copy. It causes the person who isn't affiliated with trends to want to be just noticed in the slightest. Also, at the end of the song, it only shows how this phenomenon builds a sense that people just aren't even there anymore. Similar to just placeholder characters in animes. That's why she says "I'm not a side character." It builds a sense of wanting to be real, but not knowing if they really are because everybody else is basically a carbon copy of each other.

Yeah, but the irony is that by singing this song she’s revealing her true motivations. She’s not different than these people. She wants to be loved. She has a huge ego. She seeks external validation. She ends up being exactly the person she sings about.
It’s actually the exact opposite of what you’re saying. She literally changes herself so much to be liked that she can’t even recognize her own face. She gave up everything in pursuit of being loved by others that she isn’t even herself. Shes “different,” but really she’s exactly the same as everyone else.
It reminds me of Gumi’s Copycat. Where the singer changes herself to fit the person she’s interacting with instead of “being herself.”
It's okay if we aren't noticed by the general society, but by the people we love. The is no value in validation from strangers. But this knowledge is dangerous, as it would make you and your kind outsiders.
In my view, there are basic human values that everyone could agree to regardless personality and culture, a universal morality. If we'd only meditate into that direction for a bit each day, I am convinced we would not waste so much time in vanity.
Isn’t the song condemning our “main character”/character who’s perspective it’s from because she’s trying so hard not to be like other people? Idk, I just think the song is more about “I’m not like others” type of people/nm
