- As the development of our new main stand gathers pace, we are delighted to release the latest time-lapse video. The footage covers the period between February & May when the final girder of the roof went into place and we hosted the last ever match to be played in front of the iconic Archibald Leitch stand.
The pre-cast concrete floor units are nearing completion and the curtain walling is now well underway. The club looks forward to sharing updated footage in the coming months - Sport
So excited
Looking forward to my new seats after 8years in the old stand
were hearts fc we stay we build we grow we are one
so sad but its going to be great ! out with the old and in with the new !
always a sad thing when a piece of a clubs history goes, but at least Hearts are staying at tynecastle, a proper football ground, and a re not, like so many clubs have done, moving to some soulless suburb, miles from anywhere., to play in some plastic stadium. And i say that as a Celtic fan.
Well said Albert, I share your view about soulless identikit stadiums. I had a season ticket for a couple of seasons or so in the late 90's in that old stand, when I relocated for a few years to Edinburgh, couldn't live somewhere without a regular fix of footy. The atmosphere in Tynecastle, when full, is pretty special despite it not being the largest stadium...hopefully the new stand will make it even better!
Hey
weird Tesco!
Is as good as the new stand looks (from the inside, the outside ain't nice) the old stand had a better atmosphere.
